Event Review: Promoting Advanced Manufacturing in Indonesia – Delta Industrial Automation Exhibits at Manufacturing Indonesia 2015
Delta Industrial Automation participated in the “Manufacturing Indonesia 2015” exhibition at the Jakarta International Exhibition Center, Indonesia on December 2 - 5. Delta displayed a complete range of industrial automation products and solutions for automated manufacturing, among which AC Motor Drives, AC Servo Motors and Drives, energy management solutions and Hybrid Energy Saving System HES drew the most attention.
In recent years, improvements in the investment climate and a growing youth population have contributed to a huge domestic market in Indonesia. The increasing demand for energy, infrastructure and manufacturing drives the need for industrial automation systems and equipment in Indonesia. At this exhibition, Delta integrated its industrial automation products and exhibited a variety of industrial applications to solve customer problems and upgrade Indonesia's manufacturing industry. The exhibits included:
- Simulations of cutting machines, feeding machines, and packaging machines adopted the AC Servo System ASDA-A2 Series and the Programmable Logic Controller DVP-MC Series. The solutions perfectly achieved accurate positioning and high-speed response of motion control with electronic cam functions, which can be used for benchmarking, positioning and synchronous applications.
- For metal processing machine, high-speed packaging and labeling machine applications, Delta's AC Servo System ASDA-A2E Series was used to simulate flying shears, and comprised a robotic arm with the PC-Based Controller PAC Series. The application demonstrated high speed positioning for pick-and place execution, and is suitable for multi-axis synchronization applications.
- For food processing, packaging and textile machines, the AC Motor Drive VFD-EL Series, Delta Photoelectric Sensors and Human Machine Interface were integrated to show precise conveyor control.
To strike a balance between modernization and low carbon emissions, Delta simulated a traditional hydraulic oil system and Hybrid Energy Saving System HES, and compared the electricity consumption by using power meters. The HES saved over 30% in power consumption compared to a traditional hydraulic system. In addition, Delta also displayed the real-time power consumption on an energy management system with a 60-inch big screen at the exhibition site, which impressed visitors and increased Delta's brand awareness.
In the pursuit of safer and more efficient manufacturing, machine tool manufacturers must provide more industrial automation products and services. Delta Industrial Automation is responding to this demand by providing a complete range of automation product lines and solutions to realize industrial upgrades and environmental protection at the same time. At the three-day exhibition, Delta's booth attracted nearly 500 visitors, and many left their feedback and sales leads for future cooperation.
