Delta Debuts at Supercomputing 2024 with State-of-the-Art Power and Cooling Solutions for HPC and AI Data Centers
Delta debuted at Supercomputing 2024 (SC24) from November 17 – 22 in Atlanta, USA and showcased its broad spectrum of energy-efficient power, thermal management, and infrastructure solutions for AI and high-performance computing (HPC) data centers. Delta’s AI PC power and AI laptop adapters were also on display for gaming applications. During the event, there were daily forums at Delta booth to present its blueprint of future power and cooling solutions that support the soon-to-come AI era. The highlighted products included:
ORV3 180kW HVDC Power Shelf
Making its debut, this model features 2OU height and consists of upper and lower shelves with 6 PSUs and 30kW output power. It supports three phase 415 Vac to 480Vac input power, 400Vdc output power, suitable for AI data centers that demands tremendous amounts of electricity
Power Capacitance Shelves (PCS)
The PCS is designed with built-in lithium-ion capacitors (LIC) that feature high power density and long hold-up time (15-second/20kW load) to perform fast charge / discharge to mitigates the GPU dynamic load reflections to the AC grid. It ensures a stable power supply for AI and cloud computing servers and therefore increases the power system reliability.
In addition, Delta also cooperated with NVIDIA to exhibit the customized MGX rack, which included Delta’s cooling distribution unit (CDU), 19-inch PCS, 19-inch 33kW Power Shelf, and 8kW Power Distribution Board. This provides an integrated solution for NVIDIA and becomes the center of attention.
AI Gaming Power Supplies
For edge AI applications, Delta also showcased the advance capabilities with a 1,600W PSU and various adapters for AI gaming laptops with output power ranging from 140W to 400W.
