Delta Presents Smart Energy-Efficient and Fully-Integrated Hardware & Software IIoT Solutions at SPS Nuremberg 2022

Delta has just participated in SPS Nuremberg 2022, exhibiting a wide range of smart, energy-efficient, and highly integrated industrial automation hardware and software solutions engineered for Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT) applications. The demonstration included Delta’s new Software as a Service (SaaS) Digital Dashboard tool—the DIACloud Digital Dashboard—which offers remote visualization of cloud data for a broad range of applications, Pump Solutions with the Fan/Pump Vector Control Drive CP2000 Series, Time of Flight Camera DMV-T, Compact Modular CODESYS Motion Controller AX-3 Series, SCADA System VTScada; and a new IIoT function card for the Modular Mid-range PLC AS Series to enable various IIoT applications.

“A lot of our customers are now investing in the IIoT,” said Roetger Sander, deputy director of Delta’s Industrial Automation Business Group for the Europe, Middle East & Africa (EMEA) region. “Open platform communications united architecture (OPC UA) is a standard that many customers have chosen to work with. We’re excited that the new products we’re bringing to SPS are meeting the open OPC UA standard and can support a wide range of IIoT applications.”

Visitors to Delta’s booth experienced its newly launched DIACloud Digital Dashboard, which offers remote visualization of cloud data and makes applications and machines accessible from the web without the need for software installation, increasing user flexibility and convenience. In addition, the Digital Dashboard features customized interfaces, real-time trend graphs, historical data monitoring, and an alarm function for notifications, which is ideally suited for machine builders and applications requiring remote connectivity. Speaking of remote connectivity, pump applications that have variable frequency drives are one example. Delta not only showcased the DIACloud Digital Dashboard, but also the CP2000 Series in a simulated environment at the exhibition. Showing that different operational modes are possible through its firmware, visitors saw that the CP2000 Series is capable of controlling up to eight drives simultaneously.

In terms of controllers, Delta extended its high-performance PLC AS series with the new AS-FFTP01 function card and offered five new CPU models of the AX-3 Series. Both AS Series and AX-3 Series offer a broad array of connectivity interfaces, such as OPC UA for sharing data with the cloud application. Besides increasing its controller portfolio, Delta understands that data is the core of smart manufacturing. The AS Series and AX-3 Series are anticipated to play important roles in the evolution of Industry 4.0 while improving efficiency in production and industrial environments.
