TEEMA and Institute for Information Industry Visit Delta’s Smart Manufacturing Innovation Center

On September 18, 2025, Delta co-hosted the “AI× Smart Manufacturing: Driving the Industry’s New Future” seminar with the Taiwan Electrical and Electronic Manufacturers' Association (TEEMA) and the Institute for Information Industry (III) at the Zhongli Smart Manufacturing Innovation Center, supported by the Industrial Development Administration (IDA) of the Ministry of Economic Affairs, under the Electronic Information Smart Manufacturing Service System Promotion Program. In response to glocalization, Delta presented smart manufacturing solutions centered on cyber-physical integration, AI technologies, and software-hardware integration, providing a replicable and scalable roadmap for smart factory transformation.

Secretary General of TEEMA Lin, Chuan-Neng stated: “As a representative enterprise in the electronics industry, Delta has actively invested in the practical application of smart factories and digital twins. Launched in July, the Delta Smart Manufacturing Innovation Center has become a key demonstration hub for smart manufacturing in Taiwan, which centers on cyber-physical integration, AI applications, and data-driven operations. Beyond showcasing Delta’s innovation capabilities, the center also provides manufacturers with a practical environment for learning and validation.”

Three Core Highlights Driving the Future of Smart Manufacturing

    1. Delta introduced its “Connectivity + Digital Twin + Physical AI” architecture, integrating the DIATwin Virtual Machine Development Platform, self-developed smart equipment, and Line Manager Inline Management Solution to enable cyber-physical smart manufacturing. By simulating and validating production line design, commissioning, and optimization in the virtual environment prior to physical deployment, the solution shortens iteration cycles. Through Sim-to-Real-to-Sim integration, operational data from physical equipment is continuously fed back into virtual models, enabling factories to achieve self-inspection, self-learning, and self-tuning.

    1. Delta presented a value-driven transformation approach progressing from rationalization and standardization to automation and smart manufacturing, forming a four-layer Lean Smart Manufacturing framework.

    1. With science-based carbon reduction at its core, Delta’s Facility Monitoring and Control Systems (FMCS) collect real-time data on key energy consumption such as water, electricity, and gas, transforming it into a visualized and quantifiable energy management platform. Enhanced by AI-driven intelligence group control and predictive tuning, the solution helps overcome energy efficiency bottlenecks and can further integrate AI assistants to automatically generate reports and carbon reduction targets, enabling enterprises to build verifiable, scalable, and sustainable competitiveness.

The Delta Smart Manufacturing Innovation Center integrates smart production line demonstration, cyber-physical talent development, and solution validation. By combining DIATwin Digital Twin Technology, the Line Manager Inline Management Solution, and a 3D Central Management Room, the Innovation Center demonstrates how Delta solutions accelerate NPI introduction and mass production cycles. The Cyber-Physical Integration Classroom provides tiered, hands-on training in AI applications, new production line deployment, and process optimization, supporting partners in building efficient and flexible smart factories.
