Delta introduced six new automation products at a launch event on May 18th at its Taoyuan Technology Center. The new automation products include the high frequency, high power Compact Drives MH300 / MS300 Series, the Advanced Mid-range PLC AS300 Series, the high performance, high resolution and high precision AC Servo Drive ASDA-A3 Series, Linear Motion Products, the Machine Vision System DMV2000 that supports multi-cameras, and Smart Sensors.

With upgraded performance and functions for industrial markets, Delta's new products are better, smarter and more compact:
• The MH300 and MS300 Series are Delta's new high frequency, high power compact drives. With up to 40% size reduction, the MH300 / MS300 Series are the smallest AC motor drives Delta has ever offered. They save installation space and provide user-friendly installation and operation for customers. The MH300 / MS300 Series feature:
- Support for open/closed loop control for both IM and PM motors. The high performance type MH300 Series supports open and close loops, and the standard type MS300 Series supports open loop
- Built-in PLC functions and multiple communication protocols
- Built-in brake choppers
- High speed models available with up to 2000Hz and 1500Hz output frequency
• Programmable Logic Controller AS Series is Delta's new advanced modular-design controller for automation machinery. With new 32 bit SoC (System on Chip) CPUs, the AS Series offers excellent performance with program capacity of 40k steps/ms and supports up to 32 extension modules or a max. 1,024 I/O points. It is able to control max. 8 axes via CANopen motion network / max. 6 axes via pulse control (200kHz).
• The high performance AC Servo Drive ASDA-A3 Series is designed for advanced machines and motion systems. It offers advanced built-in motion functions for PLC-based and PC-based motion control systems to fulfill industry needs for packaging machines, labeling machines, electronic equipment, electrical and electronics assembly, with its high precision and high speed motion control. Delta's ASDA-A3 Series features new flexible algorithms and motion compensation to easily eliminate vibration and enhance production efficiency. The new auto-tuning provides simple setup and shortens adjustment time for customers. The size of the ASDA-A3 series is compact and light and it is 20% smaller than Delta's ASDA-A2 series for efficient space savings. In addition, with 3kHz high frequency response and 24-bit high resolution absolute type encoder equipped as standard, the ASDA-A3 series is ideal for CNC control systems to provide better synchronous motion commands, smooth operation at low speeds, and superior surface finishing.
• Delta's new Linear Motion Products include direct drive motors, linear stages, mini actuators and customized linear motion platforms that feature high speed, high precision and enhanced system stability. When combined with Delta's servo drives, Delta's superior linear motion control system can be applied to a wide range of applications, including automated optical inspection (AOI) equipment, load and unload, feeders and automated high speed assembly lines.
• The new Machine Vision System DMV2000 Series supports synchronous multi-camera vision inspection. It features high speed and stable image capture and transmission, and ensures product quality and automation production efficiency. The DMV2000 Series provides a smart operation process and interface and multi-function modules to shorten system development time and enhance customer satisfaction. The DMV2000 Series can be widely applied to industrial machinery, automotive, rubber and plastic manufacturing, medicine, food, printing, packaging, metal processing and other industries.
• Delta's new photoelectric sensors and inductive sensors provide multiple sensing methods and distance. They can be applied to detect an object's pass-through, distance, dimensions and speed. With their compact design, Delta's smart sensors save installation space and feature the IP67 protection rating for various applications in production lines.
Delta, with years of experience in the industrial automation fields, has built a complete range of automation product lines and is now moving towards system integration and smart manufacturing. During the new product launch, Delta also displayed a smart green manufacturing solution with Delta's SCADA system DIAView and industrial energy management system IEMS connected to the cloud service DIACloud via industrial communication devices. This solution realizes real-time monitoring and remote control for on-site facility operation and masters power consumption for power efficiency improvement. With this solution, customers can see the blueprint for the future of the manufacturing industry.
