Congratulations! Delta Electronics Awarded Championship of 2010 Corporate Citizenship by CommonWealth Magazine

CommonWealth Magazine announced the results of 2010 Corporate Citizenship awards in their July-27 edition. Delta Electronics receives the championship of Corporate Citizenship in the large-scale companies.

The dimensions criteria of the Corporate Citizenship survey contain "Corporate Governance", "Corporate Commitment", "Social Engagement" and "Environment" evaluate companies'.

2010 Corporate Citizenship by CommonWealth Magazine Ranking (with ranking of 2009 for reference):
Delta Electronics has won the first place of 2010 Corporate Citizenship in the large-scale companies with excellent scores in the 4 dimensions criteria. Delta's Founder and Chairman Bruce Cheng led Delta Electronics to enter the business of green energy development and successfully built up the empire of “the most environment-friendly enterprise”. With the supports of stock holders and investors, Mr. Bruce Cheng emphasizes on the social engagement and environmental protection; and that's the reason to make Delta Electronics no. 1 enterprise with the most foreign investors in Taiwan.

Large Scale Companies (sales revenues over NTD10 billion)


The ranking criteria drew on international measurements and assessments from United Nations programs, the OECD (Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development), the U.S. Dow Jones Index and others. This included using a three-stage process and the four dimensions of "Corporate Governance", "Corporate Commitment", "Social Engagement" and "Environment", to select Taiwan's top corporate citizens. The survey targets were categorized into three groups, large-scale companies with sales revenues over 10 billion NTD, mid -scale companies with sales revenues under 10 billion NTD, and foreign companies. The survey period was from May 13 2010 to July 12 2010.

This is the 4th consecutive year Delta won the "CommonWealth Magazine Corporate Citizenship Awards" and the first year at the place of championship. Delta's Vice Chairman and CEO Yancey Hai represented Delta in receiving the award from the Premier of Taiwan government. Yancey thanks the judge panel's recognition and mentioned that Delta will set up an audit committee in the neat future.

Delta's Founder and Chairman Bruce Cheng shared his experience in managing Delta Group. He always encourages colleagues to "Do right things, do things right". He also talked about the story of how Delta started its business of switching power supply products and will keep moving forward to the goal of green energy.
