Delta Utilizes Smart Technologies to Achieve Healthy Buildings in the Post-epidemic Era

From buildings and communities to cities, it has become a major trend to use technologies to achieve healthy smart buildings. Delta, actively engaged in the promotion of green buildings, has been invited to participate in the 21st China International Building Intelligence Summit 2020 held in Xian. At the summit Delta shared its subsidiary LOYTEC’s IoT-based building automation solutions, focusing on its integrated smart management platform, new-generation IoT controllers, multi-sensor, energy and air quality monitoring, BIC smart lighting solutions for healthcare, and more. The people-oriented solutions give buildings an enhanced concept of safety, intelligent energy-saving, and health.

Mr. Zhao Guochao, Product Director of the DGC Smart Buildings Division, shared that Delta’s building control solution takes health and smart buildings as the two major directions for future development. For the smart building concept, Delta has introduced IoT, edge computing, sensing technologies into developing solutions. The IoT building control system offered by Delta integrates building equipment management, smart security, behavior monitoring, access control, intelligent lighting, air quality monitoring, energy management, and more, which are integrated on the same intelligent building management platform. The platform supports various communication protocols that are completely open for data exchange between different devices and systems. Through powerful data computing and processing capabilities, the facility managers at local sites or remote sites can access a visualized analysis to carry out digitalized building maintenance.

In 2020, Delta launched the compact UNOnext Indoor Air Quality Monitor, which can instantly monitor PM2.5, PM10, CO, CO2, HCHO, TVOC, ozone, temperature and humidity, and others. It can connect to fresh air equipment or an air-conditioning system to refresh air quality.

In the post-epidemic era, creating a healthy medical environment has also become a key topic in the building control industry. At this summit, Delta shared its lighting solutions for healthcare, which was welcomed by the audience. The DeltaZhi connected lighting solution provides a variety of smart management functions via Bluetooth, including sunlight sensing,
