Differences in communication protocols used by various industrial automation products makes it costly to integrate products from different manufacturers. To meet this need, Delta Electronics offers the DVPSCM12-SL communication module as a complete solution to serial communication.

The DVPSCM12-SL hardware has two sets of built-in RS-485/422 serial communication interfaces that separate communication and power to effectively enhance the product's capability to resist interference and overcome all sorts of adverse application environments. There are built-in 120Ω terminators and drop-out screwless terminal blocks that save time and cost for wiring. In addition to the built-in Modbus communication protocol, the most frequently used in industry, the DVPSCM12-SL also features a programming software for open-platform communication protocols, enabling customers to set up various serial communication protocols in a speedy manner. The DVPSCM12-SL can be expanded to function as a communication port (COM3) of the PLC host for up- and downloading PLC programs and monitoring PLC parameters, and it reduces loads for PLC host communication. The DVPSCM12-SL is suitable for building and factory automation. It lets system manufacturers overcome difficulties in connecting different communication protocols.
