  • Qualification Levels

    Our customers have a wide range of service needs. Spare parts supply, onsite and offsite repair, service hotlines, maintenance contracts – our service network needs to be flexible to cater to the needs of our customers. This is also reflected in our Authorized Partner programs, which provide three different qualification levels:

    Authorized Service Partner Level 1 (ASP L1)
    Level 1 ASPs are trained specialists for installation and commissioning of our UPS products. They are also prepared for first-aid troubleshooting and systematic approaches for problem handling. ASP L1 engineers are typically the first engineers onsite to take care of the immediate service needs of the customer.

    Authorized Service Partner Level 2 (ASP L2)
    Level 2 ASPs are trained to perform board-level repair of our UPS systems as well as systematic root cause analyses to locate the source of an error and restore UPS functionality. ASP L2 engineers are the service specialists that serve the more complex service needs of customers.

  • Training Offer

    For all levels of partnership we offer specialized training programs. The illustration below shows an overview of the programs and their relation to each other.

    The “Entry Level” and “Basic Partner Training” modules have to be completed by all Authorized Partners. After that the partner can choose the path to become an Authorized Service Partner or an Authorized Repair Center. Here are some details about each program step:

    Entry Level
    Partners become familiar with Delta Electronics and Delta UPS products. The programs familiarize partners with products, markets and applications. All sessions are offsite learning sessions (e-learning, online meetings, etc.)

    Basic Partner Training
    The first level of classroom training trains the partners on installation, commissioning and first-aid troubleshooting of Delta UPS products. The partners can decide on which product group they want to be trained by selecting one or more of the product sessions.

    Authorized Service Partner Level 1 (ASP L1)
    Partners simply have to pass an online test and fulfill all other certification criteria to become ASP L1 certified partners.

    Authorized Service Partner Level 2 (ASP L2)
    The next level of ASP training provides additional intensive classroom training for partners. To become competent in the board-level repair of our UPS products, partners are trained on systematic root cause analysis and measurement technologies. Again, the partner can choose their product specialization.

  • Program Certification

    For Delta a certificate is not just a decoration on the wall. Our certificates provide recognition for our partners. Certified partners receive an official registration number and are permitted to use this number and our logo for their marketing and promotion activities. In return, we request that our partners renew their certificates annually.

    The certification requirements for a first-time certification of a new partner are:

    Authorized Service Partner Level 1

    • Completion of Entry Level
    • Participation in Basic Partner Training
    • Successful completion of Online Test
    • Training Certificate for Onsite Safety

    Authorized Service Partner Level 2

    • ASP Level 1 Certification or similar qualification
    • Successful completion of Timed Hands On Test
    • Successful completion of Online Test
