Delta just participated in the Combined Exhibition of Advanced Technologies (CEATEC) 2023 in Japan from October 17th to 20th, where it showcased a wide range of power electronics products and solutions for industrial and building automation, data centers and energy infrastructure, including Portable Power Station for leisure and emergency use, External Adapters for consumer electronics products and USB PD Dual-Port Wall Sockets with up to 92.4% efficiency and a BOX Type DC-DC converter for industrial e-vehicles, echoing this year’s theme “Toward Society 5.0.”
Ares Chen, General Manager of Power and System Business Group, emphasized Japan's Society 5.0 vision, which focuses on a human-centric, highly technology-connected future that solves challenges and improves the quality of life, was echoed by the displayed products. For example, the Portable Power Station, high-efficiency USB PD sockets, adapters, and the DC-DC converter with extensive applications show that the Delta brand has evolved beyond a pure industrial brand to an inclusive commercial brand. We can expect to see more of Delta’s power products integrated into our daily lives.
For outdoor and disaster preparedness applications, Delta’s latest 91% high-efficiency 1,800W Portable Power Station features a streamlined design, six AC outlets, USB Type A and Type C ports along with a car charger, delivering a stable power output ranging from 12W to 108.8W. The 1,800W power output can charge a smartphone from 0% to 100% over 70 times, and provide more than 14 hours of laptop operation as well as power other home appliances, such as LED TVs, microwaves, and steam cookers. It supports both AC and DC charging, allowing direct AC input without an adapter or DC input from solar or car sources. This makes it suitable for outdoor activities such as camping as well as providing an indispensable back-up power source during urgent situations such as earthquakes and typhoons.
Delta also introduced three models of 20W and 60W USB PD Type A+C or Type C+C sockets. The modular design seamlessly integrates with AC outlets in Japanese households, providing single-port output efficiency of up to 92.4%. In addition, four PD Series adapters with a common type C port feature output power ranging from 65W to 240W, all compliant with EU REACH regulations, RoHS, WEEE directives. The lineup includes a wall-mounted adapter suitable for laptops and electric scooters and a rare high-power 500W adapter, applicable for use in desktop computers and larger home appliances with its high-power density.
Regarding industrial applications, Delta BOX Type B70SR Series DC-DC converter can perfectly integrate with large manufacturing e-vehicles, and it also attracted significant attention during this event. It supports 36V to 106V input, 13.7V output voltages with 300W power output, achieving an efficiency of 90.2%. Other features include a wide operating temperature from -40°C to 75°C, making it suitable for extreme and challenging environments, surge current limitation, hot swapping and reverse polarity protection, which ensure its use in industrial and agricultural e-vehicles, including forklifts and tractors, with stable power supply and safety.
