Delta Wins National Industrial Innovation Award Again for Energy-saving Power Supply Management

Leading global power and cooling system provider Delta Electronics Inc. has won the Outstanding Innovative Enterprise Award for its Energy-saving Power Supply Management at the 2nd National Industrial Innovation Awards organized by Taiwan's Ministry of Economic Affairs (MOEA). Delta's entry from its Taoyuan Research Center integrates various energy-saving solutions for smart green buildings. Water consumption was reduced by up to 75% and power costs by more than NT$5 million a year, fulfilling the company's mission of "To provide innovative, clean and energy-efficient solutions for a better tomorrow". The National Industrial Innovation Award is the highest innovation award in Taiwan and it is referred to as the "Oscar" of industrial innovation. The award presentation ceremony was held at the Taipei International Convention Center today, October 23rd. The awards were presented by Vice-President Den-yih Wu and Delta Chairman Yancey Hai personally received the award.

Hai said: "An innovative enterprise must be able to detect changes in the industrial structure and economic environment in a timely manner, and then aggressively adjust its strategy to take advantage of emerging opportunities. Delta has continued to leverage its core technologies in power electronics to develop high-efficiency energy-saving products. Product efficiency has continued to increase every year, and now all of our products are over 90% efficient, with photovoltaic converters achieving efficiencies of up to 98%. The Delta business model has continued to evolve alongside product innovation. From Delta Inside to Delta Outside, from IT (Information Technology) to ET (Energy Technology), from ODM manufacturing to brand-oriented energy-saving integration services, these transformations have made Delta the model enterprise for the latest MOEA "3 Industries, 4 Transformations" industrial optimization strategy of "Manufacturing as a service, service technologization and internationalization, and traditional industry specialization". The smart green building energy-saving integration was a concrete example of an innovative integrated service offered by Delta. By integrating different internal energy-saving solutions for air-conditioning, elevators and lighting, as well as using renewable resources, Delta hopes to effectively reduce the environmental impact of modern buildings so they can exist sustainably in harmony with the natural environment."

The award judges stated that Delta not only engaged in active integration, innovation and brand-building, but also embraced the spirit of energy-saving, sustainability and value-creation in its corporate culture. This innovation was reflected throughout its system integration, design, channels, branding and services. Delta also understands the long-term future of the industry and uses its influence to spur the development of related industries and encourage innovation throughout the industry as a whole.

Entries to the 2nd National Industrial Innovation Award included industry, university and research units involved with innovation. Delta underwent a rigorous preliminary review, a secondary review, interviews and a final judgment process that highlighted its innovation integration ability and brand value, and received outstanding marks for selection criteria such as Technical Innovation, Process Innovation, Product Innovation, Organizational Innovation, and Marketing Innovation.
