Delta Presents 3D Outdoor Projection of London 2012 Olympics at the Ximen Red House
Unprecedented Olympics experience on façade of an antique building

Taipei, Taiwan, July 27, 2012 -- In the run up to the grand opening of the London 2012 Olympics, Delta Electronics with its dazzling 3D Outdoor Projection Show will team up with Chunghwa Telecom today to co-organize a series of outdoor projection activities as a prelude to this major international sporting event. Delta has provided its large-screen video wall projection solution and 30,000-Lumen super high resolution video conferencing equipment to produce a visually exciting outdoor show. With the Xinmen Red House as backdrop, the audience will be treated to a brand new visual experience.

Jeff Fu General Manager of Delta Electronics Display Solutions Business Unit said, "Delta has long been dedicated to the research, development and design of display solutions and systems. Not only does Delta design and manufacture the world's top video conferencing display equipment, but it has in recent years focused on large outdoor projection systems to provide 'smart green life' solutions. Delta is happy to once more collaborate with Chunghwa Telecom to showcase large-screen 3D projection from mobile devices for the public to enjoy the exciting Olympic Games. This marks a new milestone for both parties. Both companies had previously joined together for an outdoor broadcast of the Beijing 2008 Olympics and for the 2010 3D FIFA World Cup in partnership with ELTA TV. These events all won wild acclaim from the viewing public.

The '3D Outdoor Olympics Projection Show' is facilitated by Delta's Display System Integration service, and uses a large-screen cinema-level projector from a collaborating partner— Britain's leading projector brand, Digital Projection—for perfect visual quality. On the day, Delta will also set up a hands-on try-out zone for its strategic partner Vivitek to showcase the latest portable smart projector, the QUMI-Q5. With WIFI compliance and a built-in browser the QUMI-Q5 supports internet surfing so that a user can keep up with real-time Olympic sports and competitions via Chunghwa Telecom MOD services or hand-held mobile devices. With LED illumination, 500-Lumen high resolution and weighing only 490 grams, the QUMI-Q5 is light and portable and can easily be passed from hand to hand amongst friends. The device can also project onto a 90-inch large screen anytime, anywhere, allowing sports fans real-time audio and visual participation at any sports event.

The '3D Outdoor Olympics Projection Show' is to be presented every 30 minutes for two consecutive nights: July 27th (20:00 – 22:30) and July 28th (19:00 – 22:30). Everyone is welcome.
