Delta Electronics Provided Innovative EV Charging & Discharging System for KEPCO's Latest Resource Aggregation Experiment for Frequency Control and Grid Resource Management within Seconds

Actively deploying technologies related to smart grids in the city of the future, Delta Electronics recently cooperated with Kansai Electric Power Co., Ltd. for an advanced validation experiment aiming to instant frequency control and management of power resources of the grid in response to transient load changes. In the experiment, Delta provided its innovative EV charging & discharging system (two-way charging system for electric vehicles) to convert EV battery as a power supply source. It successfully charged and discharged within seconds in response to the control system instructions, performing the same as the battery systems provided by other participating companies. The result of the experiment demonstrated Delta's longtime efforts and capability to develop innovative technologies such as high-efficient EV charging & discharging system to enable power grid stability and regulation for a sustainable future.
