What are the conditions to consider when applying the Delta 3D ToF Smart Camera DMV-T?

The conditions to consider include object surface reflectance and installation position:


1. The reflectance of object surface materials should be 20% - 90%. Low reflectance (e.g. flat black materials) prevents the ToF camera from obtaining enough reflections for stable depth information analysis, while high reflectance (e.g. mirror-like materials) causes overexposure that interferes with depth analysis.


2. ToF cameras obtain distance information by calculating the time of light reflection. When installing the camera, make sure the light path does not cause multi-path interference to prevent depth analysis errors.


As shown in the image, when a ToF camera is placed on the table, the light directly hits the table and causes multi-path interference. The ToF camera must be raised appropriately for smooth operation.
