Delta DIACFX Enables Jet Technology to Strengthen Data Integration Efficiency
As electronic assembly and manufacturing vendors accelerate their digital transformation, data connectivity and integration between equipment and Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) become essential. A unified data transmission standard is critical to ensuring data integrity. Without such standardization, systems face increased maintenance complexity and reduced stability. To address this, the IPC, an association connecting electronics industries, has been actively promoting the Connected Factory Exchange (CFX) standard. By standardizing data structures and transmission protocols, the CFX is gradually becoming the globally accepted framework for smart manufacturing integration.
Jet Technology, based in Taiwan, is a leading provider of automated optical inspection equipment, specializing in serving electronic manufacturing services vendors. In one of its recent bidding cases, a customer required all the equipment to comply with the CFX standard. However, most of the projects in the market are based on customization, rather than standard software products, which requires a longer time to integrate systems. Although the IPC organization provides a free Software Development Kit (SDK), considerable resources are still required for programming and adhering to the CFX standards. These challenges make it difficult for Jet Technology to control project timeframes and to estimate resources accurately.
To support Jet Technology in overcoming these challenges, Delta provides DIACFX to assist in unifying equipment data standards and support the company’s equipment listing in the IPC’s official Qualified Product List (QPL) in a short amount of time. DIACFX, fully compliant with IPC-2591, is a software solution designed to support EMS vendors in building standard equipment connectivity. It transforms data generated by PCs or PLCs into the format that is readable by MES systems, improving system integration efficiency by up to 30%.
The built-in data models significantly reduce customization efforts by leveraging Delta’s extensive expertise in electronics assembly manufacturing, enabling equipment vendors to quickly adopt essential functions such as line status reporting, recipe verification, and fixture change notifications. In addition, the SDK for PC-based control devices utilizes a pre-packaged Application Programming Interface (API) to reduce development code lines by 50%, greatly improving development efficiency and ultimately helping Jet Technology win key projects. Notably, by adopting the CFX standard in this project, Jet Technology also has standardized its equipment data format. This enables the company to offer CFX-compliant equipment to other customers in the future, without additional customization or system integration efforts.
Benefits of Implementing DIACFX:
Data Standardization and System Stabilization
By offering the CFX standard, DIACFX unifies data structures and transmission rules, minimizing the system instabilities and errors caused by integrating systems with different data formats.
Simplified Development and Maintenance Process
DIACFX is a standardized packaged software that not only supports customers in reducing 50% of programming time and resources compared to customization projects, but also simplifies the system update and maintenance process.
Rapid Implementation and Scalable Sales
By offering universal models designed for EMS vendors, DIACFX enables rapid CFX implementation and verification. After standardizing with CFX, the vendor can mass-produce the equipment and sell it to other CFX-compliant projects with minimal customization effort.
Delta continues to invest in the integration of industrial automation hardware and software. Through the DIACFX software solution, it helps enterprises overcome data inconsistency challenges between systems and bridges the gap between OT and IT, making it critical for manufacturing’s digital transformation.
