The selection of the lens depends on the field of view and working distance between the lens and test object. Calculating the needed focal length is required. A shorter focal length of the lens results in a wider angle. A longer working distance results in a wider field of view. In some high-accuracy applications, selecting an appropriate lens may require more information and special considerations.
