Delta Showcases Efficient Industrial Automation and Smart City Solutions at ITAP 2019

Integrating its professional experience in industrial automation, building automation, infrastructure, energy infrastructure, ICT infrastructure, display and monitoring solutions, and power electronics, Delta showcased its industrial automation and smart manufacturing solutions at the Industrial Transformation ASIA-PACIFIC (ITAP) 2019 show, a Hannover Messe event focusing on the themes of Industry 4.0 and smart green cities. Delta presented smart connectivity and digital visualized manufacturing technology to help customers improve productivity and energy consumption efficiency.

At the event, Delta displayed a variety of industrial automation products with interactive live demos. The digitalized factory solution enables users to experience the essence of smart manufacturing. The exhibits included industrial routers, a machine vision system, drives and controllers, and a variety of software, such as DIACloud Cloud Platform, DIAView SCADA System, DIAEnergie Industrial Energy Management System, and DIAMMP Manufacturing Management Platform. The highlight was a made-to-order coffee bar adopting Delta's Articulated Robot and an automated coffee machine, attracting many visitors' attention with its friendly and interactive demonstration.

• Smart Factory Solution: The essential features of a complete smart factory include energy management, equipment IoT, production of small quantity and large variety, and fast line changeover. Delta's IIoT-based DIACloud Cloud Platform connects manufacturing management and a smart factory monitoring system to achieve complete smart manufacturing and factory operation management.
- Factory energy management: With the DIAEnergie Industrial Energy Management System, the Power Meter DPM Series collects energy consumption data of all equipment and the power system, and offers systematic analysis, abnormal energy consumption execution and an energy-saving plan. Users are able to enhance energy efficiency thorough continuous equipment operation optimization, production flow improvement and energy management strategy setting.
- Equipment IoT: The Equipment IoT Platform DIALink collects data for a first-line algorithm, and uploads data to the management system via the Ethernet Switch DVS Series for a seamless production flow, enhancing overall efficiency.
- Production of small quantity and large variety: Delta adopts its IA products to develop equipment for various industry applications. With the DIAMES Manufacturing Execution System, Delta helps users seamlessly integrate production equipment and peripheral software and hardware to achieve a digital smart factory that fulfills the small quantity and large variety production demands of the market.

• Robot Coffee Bar: The Delta Articulated Robot was installed on a slide to work with a coffee machine and deliver coffee based on a customer's choices. The robotic work speeded up coffee making and supplied fully automated coffee. The live demo integrated robots, IoT and AI, saving the labor for coffee making and delivery. In this way, the baristas can concentrate on attracting customers and upgrading recipes. The robot coffee bar demonstrates a future life blueprint where humans and robots collaborate in harmony.

At the event, Delta announced that its subsidiary Delta Electronics Int'l (Singapore) Pte. Ltd. signed an MOU with JTC Corporation, a Singaporean state-owned real estate company and statutory board under the Ministry of Trade and Industry. The MOU will further Delta's collaboration with JTC Corporation to accelerate Industry 4.0 adoption in Singapore and to expand smart manufacturing solution development and applications for the local market.
