Event Review: Delta Presents Energy-Efficient HVAC System for Mass Transit at BUS EXPO 2017 in Shanghai

Delta attended the BUS EXPO 2017 Shanghai International Passenger Car Exhibition from August 9th to 11th at Shanghai New International Expo Center and presented its integrated energy-saving HVAC system including stand-alone equipment as well as an all-in-one compressor solution. Delta's eco-friendly products and solutions that are easy-to-operate and maintain attracted many visitors to the booth during the three day event.

“Due to energy safety and environmental concerns, the innovative development of a new auto industry supported by green energy is crucial to resolving the current global energy crisis and other environmental issues,” said Wenxiang Shi, product director of the AC Motor Drive Dept. at Delta GreenTech China.

A heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC) system applied in public electric vehicles is important for providing comfort and safety to passengers. To meet future requirements, HVAC equipment is being developed to be more compact, integrated and highly efficient in design. Delta continues to build close ties with our customers in providing HVAC systems for public electric vehicles, and to engage in the development of a new auto industry with green energy and provide satisfying solutions, while accounting for 70% of the market share in China.

Under the eco-friendly concept, Delta's exhibition highlights included:

• AC Motor Drive with Built-in PLC Control VFD-BH / Three-in-One AC Motor Drive for Fan VFD-VH:
Both motor drives fulfill the requirements to effectively control an HVAC system applied in the green auto industry. VFD-BH and VFD-VH highlight the technology of Delta's AC motor drives with built-in programmable logic controller (PLC) functions and up to 10k steps in program capacity for HVAC system control. In addition, both drives provide functions such as PLC ladder programs copying and EMC filter and support CAN 2.0B J1939 communication protocol as well as many other control signals. The VFD-BH supports both AC and DC line voltage, while the VFD-VH supports DC voltage and electronic expansion valve control in fans. Both VFD-BH and VFD-VH meet customers' requirements and facilitate the use of HVAC systems in electric buses to reduce energy consumption.

• HVAC Drive for Electric Vehicles VFD-E-BA:
This series is ideal for HVAC system control in the automobile industry. Featuring a built-in PLC function, compact size and common DC bus design, the VFD-E-BA is easy-to-maintain. In addition, this motor drive adopts a non-flammable surface for outdoor use and protection. The drive includes a built-in EMI filter and offers a wide voltage range for optimized HVAC system control in automobiles.

• Compressor Drive:
Delta effectively integrates our AC motor drive, full-closed scroll compressor and motor into one package solution: the Compressor Drive for HVAC systems of green automobiles. Delta's Compressor Drive has enhanced functions such as a built-in PLC, pump and motor control for smooth operation and features a compact and lightweight design, low-noise, little vibration, unlimited control methods, high energy efficiency, wide range DC voltage, and high security. It exceeds others in meeting the high standards for HVAC systems for the new, green auto industry with increased adaptability, equipment life extension, and lower maintenance cost.
