Event Review: Delta IA Showcases Digital and Flexible Smart Manufacturing at Expo Manufactura 2017

Delta Industrial Automation (IA) showcased a wide range of smart manufacturing products and solutions at Expo Manufactura 2017, which was held from February 7th to 9th at Cintermex, Monterrey, Mexico. This year, Delta's booth attracted visitors with its focus on a PC-based motion control solution, an industrial 3G cloud router matched with Delta's Cloud-based IoT Platform DIACloud, DIAEnergie Industrial Energy Management System and the DIAView SCADA System for remote monitoring, real-time data and chart display, which are aimed at improving customers' competitiveness in the field of smart manufacturing.

During the event, one of Delta's product highlights was the application of the PC-Based Host Motion Controller MH1 Series for the PC-based motion control solution. The MH1 Series adopts a cable-less and fan-less design which increases reliability and reduces power consumption. It also supports EtherCAT communication and can control up to 16 servo drives ASDA-A2-E Series with corresponding 16 servo motors ECMA Series. The MH1 features excellent motion control functions including point-to-point position control, linear interpolation (multi-axis), gantry control and E-CAM.

Delta also presented many solutions at the expo that use field devices and industrial Ethernet solution products such as the Power Meter DPM Series that precisely measures electrical energy and provides monitoring functions as well as reliable communication quality. All equipment data and information can be transmitted via the Industrial Ethernet Switches DVS Series and monitored from the DIAEnergie Industrial Energy Management System for abnormal power consumption and any increase in electricity costs. In addition, Delta can help customers achieve Internet of Things (IoT) and manage machine operation through employing Industrial 3G Cloud Routers for real-time data transmission and remote monitoring via Cloud-based IoT Platform DIACloud.

In addition, Delta's industrial Ethernet solution was displayed with communication modules such as DeviceNet and Ethernet remote I/O communication modules as well as support for standard protocols like DeviceNet and MODBUS for high speed and stable network connection. Other brand equipment can also transmit data via Delta's Industrial Ethernet Switches and can utilize the DIAEnergie Industrial Energy Management System and DIAView SCADA System for real-time data display.

This year's Expo Manufactura 2017 attracted the participation of many professionals and students studying in related fields. Delta IA showcased a broad range of automation products and solutions, as well as the innovative technology and advanced research capabilities that allow our customers to realize Delta's promise of ‘Automation for a Changing World'.
