Event Recap: Delta Industrial Automation Showcases Integrated Smart Factory Solution at IMTS 2016

Delta participated in this year's International Manufacturing Technology Show (IMTS 2016) from September 12th-17th in Chicago, U.S.A., and presented a broad range of its industrial automation products and smart factory solutions. Delta's booth received excellent reviews and its highlights included the Industrial Cloud Router DX Series, SCARA Robot Workstation Solution and the new Compact Drive MH300/ MS300 Series.

With the current trend of Industry 4.0 and this year's IMTS theme of “Integrated Automation for Industrial Machinery”, Delta fulfilled the key message by displaying major industrial automation product technologies and solutions such as: AC motor drives, industrial Ethernet solution, programmable logic controllers (PLC), AC servo systems and power quality during the show.
Delta showcased its advanced motion control systems highlighting efficiency, high speed, and precision for smart factory and manufacturing solutions via live demos and panels. Popular demos and products included:

Standard / High Performance Compact Drive MS300 / MH300 Series: A motor control demo featured the MH300 and MS300 Series controlling the 4 most popular spindle motors on the market with excellent high speed operation, fast acceleration / deceleration and internal PLC function. Both compact drives can be applied to machine tools, textile machines, woodworking machines and other complex applications for precise processing.

Industrial 3G Cloud Router DX Series: To demonstrate 3G cloud monitoring, Delta's DX Series executed data collection with secure transmission for remote access to monitor the four demos on the show floor, display it on Delta's human machine interface DOP-W Series, and offer users a smart phone app for downloading. This demo attracted many viewers and was the most popular demo during the event.

SCARA Robot Workstation: For the first time in the U.S., Delta's SCARA robot technology was showcased with a robotic workstation solution for a conveyor tracking and glue dispensing simulation. The conveyor tracking function of Delta's SCARA robot system not only achieves precise glue dispensing, but also reduces human error and problems with inconsistent glue dispensing amounts.

This year, Delta's booth presented clear and well-designed key visual concepts linked to the Delta brand as well as a new sales tool called the Delta Automation smart manufacturing passport, which was widely distributed to visitors with useful information on Delta's product technologies and solutions. The promotion results were successful with an estimated 500 visitors to the Delta booth and a triple increase in total leads during the tradeshow. Delta Industrial Automation welcomes all opportunities and continues to promote automation products and solutions with the goals of smarter, greener, and together with our customers.
