Delta IA Showcases Smart Manufacturing Solutions at 2016 EXPO PACK Mexico

Delta Industrial Automation participated in the 2016 EXPO PACK Mexico exhibition on May 17 – 20 and showcased its high-performance industrial automation products and solutions, including AC motor drives, programmable logic controllers, smart sensors, CNC solution, factory energy management system and industrial Ethernet solutions.

In recent years, the thriving import and export markets of Mexico have increased the demand for packaging machinery and materials. With strong growth in the domestic market, local food packaging and related processing industries also face great demand. Delta Industrial Automation has been devoted to packaging industry applications for years and it has experienced growing brand awareness, attracting many customers to the Delta booth to discuss cooperation plans.

For the first time at the Mexico exhibition, Delta showcased its latest smart sensors, an important tool in production line automation for the food packaging industry. The Delta Smart Sensor features a slim design for space-saving installation, and offers a variety of sensing methods in different sensing distances to detect the passing of objects, and their distance, size and speed. All models are highly chemical resistant and IP67 rated. Users can select the best models according to specific environments and detection distances for better inspection outcomes and enhanced product competitiveness.

Delta's acclaimed Industrial Ethernet Solution (IES) features redundant ring technology which can help restore communication within 20ms, thus greatly reducing losses caused by network disconnection. It supports EtherNet/IP, MODBUS, CANopen and many other industrial communication protocols. Providing a friendly and intuitive user interface, all IES products can be set via a web browser without installing additional software. Once integrated with programmable logic controllers, human machine interfaces, AC motor drives, and other industrial automation products, the IES can accomplish real-time data transmission and exchange to help customers grasp the immediate status of the production line for enhanced production capacity and to achieve comprehensive and complete production line automation.

Delta's CNC solution also attracted much attention at the exhibition. Delta's CNC Solution features high-speed, high precision and superior surface finishing that enhances the speed, quality, stability of CNC machine tools. It is particularly suitable for high-speed tapping, engraving and milling processes, providing the Mexico market with a more competitive solution in machine tool manufacturing.

“2016 EXPO PACK Mexico” is the largest food processing and packaging exhibition in Central and South America. Delta participated in the event, with diverse industrial automation products, system integration experience and in-depth industry knowledge, and attracted nearly 600 customers with business opportunities.
