Delta Presents Advanced Elevator Control Technology at IEE Expo 2020 in India

Delta recently participated in the biennial International Elevator & Escalator (IEE) Expo 2020 from February 27th to 29th in India. Delta displayed a variety of elevator control products including the Compact Elevator Drive MH300-L Series integrated into a control cabinet, the Elevator Drive VFD-ED Series, the Door Control Drive VFD-DD Series, and an Open-loop Integrated Elevator Driving Solution, attracting a great many visitors.

With the increasing population of India, more and more high-rise buildings are expected to be constructed, which will surely require more advanced elevator technologies. The IEE Expo brought together the world's top elevator / escalator manufacturers possessing the latest technologies and products to fulfill market demands. Delta presented elevator drive technologies and diverse elevator drives at the Expo. The highlights included:

• The Compact Elevator Drive MH300-L Series
Designed especially for the elevator market in India, the MH300-L Series is 40% smaller than previous models and is easy to install into a control cabinet. It supports asynchronous motors with open-loop control and is built with an automatic rescue device (ARD), an emergency power system (EPS), and PLC (5k steps) functions for stable elevator operation. Delta also promoted an Open-Loop Elevator Drive Solution integrating a MH300-L with a manufacturer's control system to demonstrate the control of hoist directions, floor access, and door switch.

• The Elevator Drive VFD-ED Series
The VFD-ED Series is designed with an uninterrupted power system (UPS) and dual-output protection, and is compliant with UL & CE certifications for high environmental durability. It features auto-tuning with loads and a LED digital keypad for easy operation. In addition, it supports close-loop control, automatically adjusts starting torque, performs load compensation, and allows manual control. With the precise time sequence for elevator motions (start / stop), it can also provide reliable and comfortable rides.

• The Door Control Drive VFD-DD Series
Dedicated to elevator or machine tool applications, the VFD-DD Series has a power switch for safety control, uses removable terminal blocks for easy wiring, and is built with a digital keypad for operation. It is a complete door control solution that can precisely control door opening / closing with Delta's PLC by multi-step speeds, via signal feedback on distance from an encoder, or with 4 limit sensors / switch sensors and asynchronous motors.
