Delta participated in Manufacturing Indonesia 2019 at the Jakarta International Expo in Kemayoran during Dec. 4th ~ 7th 2019, and showcased its automated and energy-efficient solutions for smart factory operations in response to increasing regional manufacturing needs. Highlighted solutions included a Smart Servo Press and a keychain making machine. Manufacturers explored Delta's highlighted offerings to discover the benefits of connectivity, energy management and control solutions for smart factory processes and operations, and ways to create new business opportunities.

Industrialists from around the world visited Delta's booth to explore the latest smart factory products on display. Among Delta's smart equipment, the Smart Servo Press and the keychain making machine highlighted the improvement in production quality and manufacturing efficiency that factory automation brings while reducing human error and process time.
Delta also displayed a pick-and-place solution and a packaging solution, and demonstrated a framework for a full manufacturing process flow that ranges from CNC lathe metal processing, plastic injection molding, products assembly and inspection, to the packaging procedure for finished products. In addition, Delta's Green Factory Manufacturing Solution combines the DIAView SCADA System and DIAEnergie Energy Management System for equipment and energy control, and integrates a broad portfolio of industrial automation products to optimize smart, green factory operation and management.
Delta's highlights at Manufacturing Indonesia 2019 included:
• Keychain Making Machine:
Makes the feeding and pressing process of keychain production easier with Delta's highly precise and efficient automated products. The PC-Based Panel Motion Controller MP1 Series uses PC control, and connects Delta's AC Servo Drive & Motor ASDA-A3 Series via DMCNET fieldbus to drive the X, Y, and Z-axis screws and linear motor in the conveyor.
The built-in 24-bit absolute encoder with 3.1kH bandwidth of the ASDA-A3 easily matches with the MP1 to achieve advanced motion control of each axis. Moreover, it drives a linear motor to deliver the Delta logo, film and iron sheet in the feeding pan to the machine, and controls X, Y, and Z-axis screws in rectangular coordinates to attach the materials with a suction function. The materials are sent to two press machines for pressing, and then the suction function runs to return the materials as finished keychain products.
• Smart Servo Press
Executes efficient and flexible pressing of metal parts through Delta's highly integrated HMI system, PLC controllers, servo drives, and motors. The Smart Servo Press reduces defects in pressing, enhances manufacturing quality, and is applicable to interchangeable production lines. Without traditional components such as flywheels, pneumatic cylinders, press motors, clutches and others, it also saves cost.
• Smart, Green Factory Solutions
Gives users 360-degree monitoring of manufacturing and factory operations by seamlessly combining Delta's DIAView SCADA System for equipment operation data monitoring, and DIAEnergie Energy Management System for overall energy usage management.
Delta also integrates its products with production line visualization and management interfaces for customers to use in elevators, HVAC, lighting and power quality. The products applied in Delta's solutions include industrial robots, servo motors, drives, industrial network converters, power meters, programmable logic controllers, HMI systems, and more.
