Delta Presents Smart Manufacturing & IoT Solution and Advanced Automation Equipment at IIFES 2019 in Japan

Delta has just attended the Innovative Industry Fair for E x E Solutions (IIFES) 2019 from 27th ~ 29th November in Japan, and showcased various industrial automation products, advanced equipment, and solutions for smart manufacturing. Delta's exhibits included: the Smart Manufacturing & IoT Solution with the Equipment IoT Platform DIALink to collect machine operation data and the DIAMMP Manufacturing Management Platform for data analysis, visualization & management; advanced equipment such as the new Six-sided Inspection Machine and Industrial CT Scanner for inspections of various components and workpieces in optics, electronics, the medical industry, and more; as well as the Compact Vector Control Drive M300 Series family of focused automation components with an extension model for fan & pump control applications.

The IIFES, formerly known as the System Control Fair (SCF), is held every two years in Japan, and is considered an important index of factory automation trends and high-end manufacturing technologies for the year to come in local markets. Following market trends and an update of exhibition themes, this tradeshow officially changed its name to IIFES this year.

Delta, with its abundant range of industrial automation products and advanced solutions for smart & green manufacturing, earned the attention of around 250 visitors during the 3-day fair. The highlighted exhibits at Delta's booth included:

•　Smart Manufacturing & IoT Solution: Integrates Delta's automation products for automated equipment and data collection, visualization & management as a complete smart manufacturing & IoT solution. This solution is well-integrated and features a simple architecture with three layers:
- The Equipment layer (bottom): Applies Delta's industrial controllers (PLCs), AC motor drives and power meters to equipment control, drive and sensing.
- The Control layer (middle): Adopts Delta's mid-range PLC as the host controller of equipment or production line systems, and the Equipment IoT Platform DIALink collects operation data from these PLCs through Ethernet switches.
- The Information layer (upper): Data collected by DIALink is uploaded to the DIAMMP Manufacturing Management Platform for analysis, visualization and management. Users are able to acquire detailed information of equipment, production line, and productivity.
　
•　Six-sided Inspection Machine: Features excellent optical inspection technology and allows customized light source and FOV for amplified inspection of specific areas. This machine is suitable for high-speed, high precision inspection of passive components and integrated circuits larger than 0.6 x 0.33 mm at 5,000 pieces per minutes. It can greatly enhance productivity and product quality.

•　Industrial CT Scanner: This desktop type CT scanner adopts an innovative micro focal spot transparent X-ray tube to complete product structure analysis with 3D images and perform inspections at a max. 1μm high resolution. It is user-friendly with one-click scanning, resolution switching, and automatic position adjustment. With the X-ray device connected with the gate sensor, it prevents radiation exposure in emergencies and ensures operation safety. It is suitable for inspection tasks in optics, electronics, and the medical industry.

•　Compact Vector Control Drive M300 Series: The M300 series includes: the high performance MH300 Series with max. 2,000 Hz output frequency and built-in 10k-step PLC functions; the standard MS300 Series with up to 1,500 Hz output frequency; and IP66 models for applications in harsh environments. The basic ME300 Series supports pulse/PWM input as frequency command and multi-pump control capability. All series are compact in size, support PM motors, and have built-in Safe Torque Off (STO) functions.

Delta also presented its new MP300 Series for fan & pump applications. The MP300 is an IP55 compact drive that has the standard drive functions of the M300 Series and built-in PLC functions. It also supports mobile app remote control and adjustment, and was presented along with a multi-pump application case as a highlight during the exhibition.

Delta also exhibited its advanced HMI DOP-100 Series, High Frequency Drive C2000-HS Series for high speed fluid systems, AC Servo Drive ASDA-A3/B3 Series, and elevator drive to meet the needs of machine making industries in Japan. Delta's products and solutions earned the attention of many potential customers and partners at the show, building greater brand awareness for Delta in Japan.
