Delta Electronics Introduces the Wide Input Range DC/DC Converter for Railway Transportation Applications

Taipei, Taiwan, Aug., 2019 -- Delta Electronics, Inc., a world leader in power systems technology and manufacturing, has introduced an innovative and leading addition in the industry of H80SV series for Rail Transportation applications, a family of standard half brick isolated DC-DC converters with extreme wide input voltage range. The converters are constructed according to EN 50155 to ensure harsh environmental operations.

With extremely wide input voltage range (16.8~137.5V continuous, 14.4~200V transient), multiple standard output voltage (12V, 15V, 24V, 48V and 54V) and output power (100W and 200W) selection, H80SV series is suitable for a variety of electronic system in locomotive and high speed trains. The extreme high power conversion efficiency (91.5% @72Vin, 15Vout, 200W) allows the power module operate at extreme thermal environments, and the operating temperature range of the converters is –40°C to +100°C.

The H80SV series comes with a host of industry-standard features, such as over-voltage protection, over-current protection, over-temperature protection and input UVLO protection. The series is constructed according to EN50155 to ensure harsh environmental conditions do not influence its mode of operation. The H80SV series meets UL60950-1 & 62368-1 safety standard and fire & smoke meets EN45545-2.
