Delta's Industrial Automation Business Group (IABG) participated in the 21st SPS-Industrial Automation Fair Guangzhou (SIAF Guangzhou) from March 1st to 3rd. With the theme “Green and Smart Manufacturing”, Delta showcased its latest smart solutions for industrial automation with 5 key solutions: robot workstation, smart devices, factory management, energy management and smart factories. Delta's highly efficient energy-saving products, including the newly launched Articulated Robot DRV70L Series, SCARA Robot DRS40L/60L Series, High Performance Servo System ASDA-A3 Series, IP55 Fan & Pump Drive CFP2000 Series, highlighted the latest developments in smart green manufacturing.
Articulated Robot (DRV70L) Series: Delta's Articulated Robot is a 6-axis robot that was just launched in 2016. It has won the 2016 Taiwan Excellence Silver Award for outstanding quality, elegant exterior design, and comprehensive functions. The hardware design of the DRV70L Series embodies high-flexibility, a hollow design of the robot wrist, and various installations to meet the demands of multi-angle processing and multi-task operations. Providing a helpful role in smart manufacturing, it fulfills several industrial needs such as screw locking, assembly, glue dispensing, soldering, pick-and-place, stacking, inspection, load and unload and many other applications for the consumer electronics, electrics/electronics, rubber and plastics, packaging, machine tools and metal fabrication industries.
SCARA Industrial Robot DRS40L/60 Series: Features compliance control functions without sensors, and offers excellent speed, precision, linearity and verticality for robot functions. The compliance control function allows the SCARA robot to slightly adjust for differences between workpieces and insertion spots to avoid possible damage during processing, and it can efficiently and precisely complete assembly, gluing, and packaging. Delta's DRS40L/60L Series has been broadly applied to several industrial areas such as consumer electronics, electrics/electronics, rubber and plastics, packaging, metal fabrications and many more.
High Performance Servo System ASDA-A3 Series: To meet industry demands for high-end machine motion, Delta's high-performance servo drive system, the new ASDA-A3 Series, is designed for excellence and precision. Achieving quick response and stable performance, the ASDA-A3 Series provides a high 3.1kHz responsiveness bandwidth, along with 24-bit high resolution absolute type encoder to reduce variance at low speed. It can also provide up to 350% overload capability. In addition, ASDA-A3 Series is compact in size to provide space-efficiency for customers. Ideal for CNC control systems, The ASDA-A3 Series has attracted attention since it was first released onto the market, and it was awarded a 2016 Taiwan Excellence Silver Award for its outstanding synchronous motion commands, smooth operation at low speeds, and excellent surface finishing.
At the industrial automation fair this year, Delta showcased its Smart Factory Solution to assist customers in collecting and analyzing factory data. With a production processing control and equipment management system, customers can see how the systems quickly resolve production errors to achieve digitized manufacturing. The Industrial Monitoring System allows companies to achieve network connection among multiple factories at multiple locations and integrate information for factory management. Hierarchically connecting data for greater factory management transparency, the Industrial Energy Management System (IEMS) can assist enterprises enact comprehensive industrial environmental controls, through device, systems and management levels, to achieve successful high-efficiency, green and modern operation management.
At the fair, Delta held the “Be Smart to Win the Future” automated products seminar to share several solutions for system applications, including PLC solutions such as Hot Swappable mid-range PLC AH Series and Compact Mid-range PLC AS Series, PC-based motion control host, robot workstations and other solutions. Delta also presented smart manufacturing success stories from many industries, which received much applause from attendees.
