Delta IA Showcases New HVAC Solutions at AHR Expo 2017

Delta Industrial Automation (IA) participated in AHR Expo 2017, the world's largest HVAC exhibition, from January 30th to February 1st, together with Delta's Fan and Thermal Management Product Business Group (FMBG) and Delta subsidiaries Delta Controls and LOYTEC to introduce the latest building automation products, systems and technology. Delta demonstrated its capabilities in providing a complete coverage of HVAC solutions ranging from systems to software to products. At its booth, Delta displayed building automation control, lighting control, ventilation fans, HMIs, PLCs, a HVAC bypass system and high protection standard variable frequency drives. The AHR Expo hosted in Las Vegas was larger than in previous years, hosting more than 2000 exhibitors, and attracting a crowd of 60,000 industry professionals from every state in America and 150 countries worldwide.

Delta's exhibit theme focused on presenting total building automation solutions using the BACnet protocol and demonstrating high system integration capability. Following the theme, Delta IA presented its new IP55 Fan and Pump Drive CFP2000 series and HVAC Bypass System using the energy-savings Fan and Pump Drive CP2000 series. To ensure a stable and highly reliable HVAC system, a high protection enclosure enhances the product's durability in wet and dusty installation environments. In addition, various options of PLCs (High Performance Mid-Range AH500 series, Advanced Rackless AS300 series and Slim & Micro DVP series), HMIs and other variable frequency drives were also showcased at the booth. These products allow customers to construct HVAC systems easily, and also allow OEM machine builders to develop cost-effective control systems with high value products.

During the three exhibition days, Delta's booth attracted a crowd that expressed a strong interest in Delta IA's demo and panel display. Visitors were amazed by the excellent water resistant features of the IP55 Fan and Pump Drive CFP2000 series. The water spraying demo of the CFP2000 series had water continuously pouring onto the drive but drive performance remained stable and unaffected. Another highlight was the economical HVAC Bypass System using a NEMA 1 cabinet with Delta's newly launched energy-saving Fan and Pump Drive CP2000 series. This system supports BACnet and many other communication options allowing users to construct a system easily. Also featured fire mode and by pass functions to force the device to continue to operate when an accidental fire occurs to ensure operational safety.

IP55 Fan/pump Drive CFP2000 Series : Delta's brand new high durability Vector Control Drive for fan and pump applications provides IP55 protection against dust and water. Featuring BACnet protocol and many other options such as built-in EMC filter and DC chokes, a built-in STO function, support for both IM and PM motors, the CFP2000 provides the best solution for the special needs of the HVAC industry. It also features a built-in PLC capacity of 10k steps, application parameter groups and a multi-language interface to facilitate the initial setup process and for better application flexibility.

Fan / Pump Drive CP2000 Series : Delta's Sensorless Vector Control Drive CP2000 Series has extended the idea of energy saving and uses this principal as the basis of its design. The CP2000 is specifically designed for applications such as air blowers, pumps and HVAC drives with its intelligent PID control providing the greatest efficiency. The Sensorless Vector Control (SVC) offers timely response to a load torque increase/decrease that satisfies customer requirements for load changes while enhancing motor performance. A 3-step V/F curve response is used in the variable torque environment to adequately adjust the input voltage and attain the greatest overall performance. This function is especially helpful in pumps and fans applications. It also includes additional functions for operation and protection in variable load environments, such as flying starts, auto-acceleration/deceleration, momentary power loss restarts, auto-tuning, and more.
