Delta Industrial Automation Impresses at Techno-Frontier 2014 in Japan

Delta Electronics, Inc. just exhibited its own branded energy-efficient solutions at Techno-Frontier 2014 in Tokyo, Japan, from July 23^rd-25^th. Under the brand promise "Smarter. Greener. Together.", Delta displayed an impressive array of industrial automation, data center infrastructure, electric vehicle (EV) charging, networking, and renewable energy solutions to help Japan alleviate its critical energy issues.

Techno-Frontier is one of the most important annual technological exhibitions in Japan, covering products, technologies and solutions for electromechanical and power systems.

Delta participated in the exhibition under the leadership of Chairman Mr. Yancey Hai, who held a press conference one day before the grand opening. Accepting interviews from local media, Mr. Hai shared Delta's strategy in Japan and gave details on its CSR initiatives.

Mr. Hai highlighted, "Delta's corporate mission is "To provide innovative, clean and energy-efficient solutions for a better tomorrow". The main pillars of Delta's focus on innovation are our core competence in power electronics and our strong R&D capabilities. We have evolved amid market challenges and created two new major business categories, Energy Management and Smart Green Life, which will contribute to mankind's fight against global warming and energy shortages. From 2010 to 2013, Delta's energy-efficient products and solutions have helped customers achieve up to 11.9 billion kWh in energy savings, which is equal to a reduction of 6.4 million tons of carbon emissions. Delta strives to enhance the competitiveness of our customers as well as protect the environment."

During the exhibition, Delta's industrial automation team focused on automation and energy savings and presented three major solutions for machine automation, building automation and process automation.

For machine automation, Delta presented two different motion control solutions that respectively adopt Delta's latest programmable automation control (PAC) system and programmable logic controllers (PLCs). These two solutions also use Delta's HMI DOP-B Series, AC servo drive ASDA-A2 Series and AC servo motor ECMA Series to form complete motion control systems. Delta presented three live demos, including one PAC system demo and two motion control demos using the ASDA-A2 Series. The strong performance of the complete motion control solutions impressed many visitors to the stand.

For building automation, Delta showcased its HVAC system solution, which was also displayed at Hannover Messe in April, 2014. This solution combines Delta's slim type PLC DVP Series and industrial Ethernet switches DVS Series for system control, monitoring and communication. It also adopts Delta's AC motor drive C2000 Series for variable frequency control of fans and pumps in HVAC systems to save energy.

For process automation, Delta displayed its water treatment solution that adopted the high performance mid-ranged PLC AH500 Series, industrial Ethernet switch DVS Series and AC motor drive C2000 Series. The AH500 Series provides stable, high-speed and flexible system control, and its hot-swapping function keeps the system running even under maintenance. The DVS Series connects each working station in a water treatment plant to form a high-speed and highly reliable communication network. The C2000 Series performs variable frequency control on water pumps to realize stable and energy-saving operation.

As Delta presented its strong product functions and integration capabilities to the Japanese market, many visitors came away impressed with its energy-saving solutions. Success at Techno-Frontier 2014 has helped Delta build better brand awareness of its automation solutions and products for customers in Japan.
