Delta@@s Taoyuan Technology Center Wins Energy Conservation and Carbon Reduction Award from Taiwan@@s EPA

Delta's Taoyuan Technology Center just received the Outstanding Achievement Award of the 5th Energy Conservation and Carbon Reduction Action Mark presented by Taiwan Executive Yuan's Environmental Protection Administration (EPA). Delta is one of the two award recipients in the manufacturer category for Northern Taiwan. The honor was received by Mr. Andy Liu, the Assistant General Manager of Sales of the Industrial Automation Business Group, on behalf of Delta during the ceremony.

Delta has established six certified green buildings/factories around the world. The Taoyuan Technology Center adopts a smart management scheme of "building energy-saving automation" and "factory management visualization" with Delta's own Industrial Automation solutions and products ranging from HVAC, elevator energy-saving, LED lighting, to solar power systems. Compared with a traditional building of the same scale, the Taoyuan Technology Center saved 53% in energy usage in 2012, representing a reduction of 1,560 tons of carbon emissions.

The EPA has held the Energy Conservation and Carbon Reduction Action Mark Award since 2009. The award recognizes manufacturing sites, including office sites, factories, and business entities, as well as communities and NGOs. Distinguished from the 273 companies that ran for the competition in 2013, Delta is one of only six companies nationwide in the manufacturing category to receive the honor.

Since its inauguration in 2011, Delta's Taoyuan technology center has not only obtained the LEED Gold-level certificate and the EEWH Gold-level certificate, but has also won a string of green building awards presented by local county governments. With the brand promise "Smarter. Greener. Together." Delta continues its dedication to reducing carbon emissions in the development of products and solutions and in its daily operation for a sustainable future.
