Delta to Support India's Bright Growth Outlook with Higher Productivity and
Energy-efficiency through its Smart Solutions Showcased at Elecrama 2016

Bangalore, India, February 2nd, 2016 – Delta, a global leader in power and thermal management solutions, will exhibit, at Elecrama 2016, its diversified portfolio of smart solutions capable of delivering industry-leading energy efficiency to the fast-growing energy generation and manufacturing sectors in India. Delta's modular battery energy storage system, ideal for peak shaving and time shifting in utility grids as well as for backup power in telecom and data centre applications, will join Delta's innovative solar trackers which increase output by approximately 30% versus fixed-mount structures. In line with the “Make in India” initiative, Delta will also feature its SCARA robot arm solution, which in certain production processes has demonstrated improved productivity by nearly 3 times.

Delta echoes the current government initiatives to transform India into a global manufacturing and digital powerhouse by offering state-of-the-art technologies that have successfully enhanced the energy efficiency and productivity of its customers' industrial operations around the globe and with remarkable success in India.

Highlights of Delta's proposition at Elecrama 2016 will be:

Energy Storage Solutions:

Delta's energy storage system is a modular cabinet with 41 kWh of energy backup capacity that leverages Delta's proprietary lithium-ion battery technology. By combining the company's power conditioning system (PCS) and an energy management system (EMS), this storage platform is suitable for a variety of applications, such as community, commercial energy storage and utility-scale ancillary services. The system is capable of output power stabilization for renewable power systems and complementing the intermittent energy generation as well as realizing peak demand shifting tasks that reduce exposure to elevated electricity prices. The stored energy can also serve as a valuable backup source during grid outages. It offers a scalable modular design for quick installation and capacity expansion for various needs. Its battery management system (BMS) manages cell balance and protects the cell from abnormal conditions (over-temperature, overcharging and over-discharging).

Renewable Energy Solutions:

The showcase will feature a full range of solar PV inverters that boast not only industry-leading energy conversion efficiency of up to 98.7% in certain models but also the highest market share in the grid-connected rooftop segment in India (according to “India Solar Rooftop Map 2016” report compiled by the environmental consultant Bridge to India). The power range of these PV inverters varies between from 3kW to 1MW to serve the needs of the residential, commercial and utility segments in India.

Solar PV plant developers have the opportunity of enhancing the output of their projects through the implementation of Delta's solar tracking technology which delivers approximately 30% higher output versus fixed-mount structures. The system combines Delta's automation devices such as servo drives and motor drives, programmable logic controllers (PLC) and human-machine interfaces (HMI) and can realize both single axis and dual axis rotation depending on actual customer requirements.

For wind energy applications, Delta will roll up its 3-phase wind power converters with 2.0MW capacity featuring IGBT topology and four-quadrant control for high energy conversion efficiency. These converters are especially suitable for DFIG wind turbine generators and have been successfully implemented in megawatt-scale projects in India.

Industrial Automation Solutions:

Delta will exhibit a diversified set of technologies to improve the productivity, reliability and energy consumption structure of manufacturing facilities and industrial processes. For smart manufacturing, Delta's offering at Elecrama 2016 will feature:

- SCARA DRS40L series robot arm solution, which can be smoothly implemented in production lines for electronics manufacturing, packaging, rubber and plastic and other applications in processes such as assembly, soldering, inspection, insertion, screw locking, with proven increased productivity by nearly 3 times in certain cases.

- Delta's SCADA system DIAView and energy management system DIAEnergie can be applied to control and remotely monitor real-time operation status and power efficiency of production machines, production lines and factory equipment. The DIAView and DIAEnergies provide visualization for manufacturing and factory, bringing convenience, flexibility and high efficiency to customers who are seeking smart manufacturing operations.

By integrating several automation technologies, Delta also delivers comprehensive systems for injection moulding, gantry, food packaging, solar-automated control for water pumps, smart factory monitoring and control as well as power quality solutions. These solutions offer substantial energy saving capabilities. For example, the Hybrid Energy Saving System (HES) for injection moulding machines reduces energy consumption by up to 60% and saves oil usage; a power quality solution for fast compensation of harmonics, reactive power and unbalanced loads; a solar water pumping solution to withdraw underground water via water pumps and Delta's AC motor drives powered by solar panels for farm irrigation.

Display & Monitoring Solutions:

Delta has built a remarkable track record in developing smart monitoring solutions for the global telecom industry in order to secure the integrity of its valuable infrastructure. In recent years, these smart monitoring systems have also been implemented in the banking industry in India to protect ATM users while preventing and tackling thefts and attacks on ATM sites across the country. Visitors at Delta's booth will have the opportunity to experience our capabilities in smart surveillance and monitoring.

In addition, the ultra-narrow bezel LCD video walls, which offer up to 20x15 display arrays for large-scale applications, will be exhibited. This solution offers brightness of 700 nits (55-inch cubes), pixel pitch of 0.63mm, 4,000:1 contrast ratio and with minimum 3.5mm combined bezel width. Through the integration of Delta's Icon Pro display controller these video walls become total solutions for real-time monitoring of surveillance, transportation management and other mission-critical applications.

UPS & Datacenter Infrastructure Solutions:

The InfraSuite Datacenter Infrastructure Solutions combines power distribution cabinets, modular UPS technology, precision cooling and racks & accessories to realize highly reliable green data centres with scalability, modularity, standardization while securing real-time monitoring and ease-of-maintenance with its Environment Management System. A virtual tour of Delta's green data centre in Thailand will be featured at the booth.

Delta's Modulon DPH series UPS is a modular system offering leading AC-AC efficiency of up to 96% as well as vertical expansion from 25 kW to 200 kW supporting N+X redundancy in a single rack enclosure for easy scalability and maintenance. It is a suitable system for mission critical applications in data centres, financial institutions, healthcare and transport.

Telecom Network Energy Solutions:

As an indisputable leading provider of energy-efficient power solutions for the telecom industry in India, Delta will also highlight its innovative portfolio to the Elecrama audience. This includes hybrid-power systems for outdoor installations that integrate solar PV energy to reduce reliance on unstable grids and fossil energy sources such as diesel. The underlying energy management technologies integrate rectifiers with energy efficiency of up to 97.5% that help to deliver significant opex savings to our customers. Delta's new small cell for 4G networks, Golden Eagle, winner of the 2015 Reddot Product Design Award, will also be featured at Elecrama 2016.
