Delta Electronics Receives Forbes Asia@@s "Fabulous 50" Award

Putrajaya, Malaysia - December 5, 2007 - Delta Electronics received the Forbes Asia's "Fabulous 50" (Fab 50) award yesterday at a grand ceremony hosted by Forbes magazine at the Putrajaya Shangrila hotel. Mr. Bruce Cheng, founder and chairman of Delta Group, was invited to the ceremony to personally accept the award.

Forbes Asia's "Fabulous 50" companies refer to the top 50 companies listed in Asia with revenues or market capitalization exceeding $5 billion, chosen on the basis of long-term profitability, sales revenues, earnings growth, forecasted earnings, and stock price. In addition to Delta Electronics, other Asian Fab 50 companies for 2007 include Nintendo, Yahoo Japan and the Tata Group of India.

Since it was founded in 1971, Delta Electronics has demonstrated outstanding performance with a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) exceeding 40%. Delta Electronics' consolidated 1-3Q 2007 sales revenues increased 24%, and net income after tax increased 29%. This exceptional performance has resulted in Delta Electronics garnering the highest percentage of foreign shareholding on the Taiwan Stock Exchange.

Mr. Cheng points out, "Delta Electronics makes many products, but we are best known as the world's number one producer of switching power supplies. For this reason, we play a central role in increasing the energy efficiency of the world's electronic devices. We are constantly looking for ways to save energy for all of our products. Saving energy reduces CO2 emissions and this is a key solution to the global warming crisis." Mr. Cheng, well-known as an environmental advocate in Taiwan, emphasizes, "We all have a great responsibility to protect the environment, save energy, and cherish our planet. We have an obligation to future generations and must do more to take better care of the Earth's environment."

Delta Electronics has won numerous awards for its outstanding operational performance and its dedication in corporate social responsibility. These awards include "Most Admired Enterprise in the Electronics Industry" by Commonwealth Magazine for six consecutive years (2002-2007), the "Corporate Social Responsibility Award" from Global Views Magazine three years in a row, and Commonwealth Magazine's "2007 Corporate Citizen Award". Mr. Cheng was also awarded the "Most Admired Executive" by Commonwealth Magazine in 2007, presented with the "Best Entrepreneur Award" at the fifth Taiwan Business Awards cosponsored by China Times and DHL Express Taiwan, and received the "Outstanding Achievement Award" at the Industrial Excellence Awards of the Industrial Development Bureau, Ministry of Economic Affairs. Mr. Cheng was also the first Chinese entrepreneur to make a public service announcement for the Discovery Channel.
