Taipei, Taiwan, August 30th, 2016 – Delta Electronics, a global leader in power and thermal management solutions, has won CommonWealth Magazine’s Excellence in Corporate Social Responsibility Award 2016. Delta Founder and Honorary Chairman Bruce Cheng received the honor at the ceremony held today. Delta was recognized for its leadership and long term focus on global warming, social contributions, promoting the benefits of green buildings, and environmental education. Upon receiving the award, Mr. Cheng congratulated CommonWealth Magazine on the 10th anniversary of its Excellence in Corporate Social Responsibility Award and expressed gratitude to the jury for their recognition. He remarked, “We began attending the UN Climate Change Conferences (COP) in 2007 and gained several years of experience. In 2014, we organized side events during COP20 in Lima, Peru, and introduced the green building Delta donated to the Namasia Elementary School in southern Taiwan and its environmental benefits to an international audience. During the 2015 UN Climate Change Conference (COP21) we were proactive in hosting the Delta21@COP21 sustainability campaign, which included a green building exhibition and a series of important side events. The global warming phenomenon is becoming more severe.
