Delta Ranked 1st Place in Commonwealth Magazine's "Most Admired Company Survey" in the Electronics Industry for the 13th Consecutive Year

Taipei, Taiwan, October 22, 2014. – Delta Electronics, Inc., a global leader in power management and thermal solutions, was ranked 1st place in Commonwealth Magazine's "Most Admired Company Survey" for the 13th consecutive year, achieving 5th place among 2,000 large enterprises in the 2014 edition. Despite the dynamic evolution of the electronics industry, Delta has strengthened its leadership position through an ambitious long-term vision and leading technology capabilities. In addition, Delta's founder and Honorary Chairman, Mr. Bruce Cheng, was selected as one of the Most Admired Entrepreneurs for the 8th consecutive year for his long-term contributions to the development of sustainable economic growth.

CommonWealth Magazine highlighted Delta's growth in profitability which reached new highs in 2014 through a turnaround of its business model. A strong focus on higher-margin businesses under its "One Delta" corporate structure makes it the first electronics company in Taiwan to have successfully exited the consumer electronics sector.

Delta's chairman noted, "Our company's mission is: "To provide innovative, clean and energy-efficient solutions for a better tomorrow". We strive to contribute to mankind's efforts in tackling climate change. Delta invests 5% to 6% of its annual revenues in R&D to deliver solutions with industry-leading energy efficiency that are truly capable of making sustainability a palpable reality. This strategy has boosted our corporate achievements and cemented our leadership position for years to come".

In the 2014 edition, Delta was recognized as the leading firm in the electronics industry, and was awarded with "Best Corporate Citizen" recognition, one of the 10 major assessment parameters of the survey. Delta has received this award for eight consecutive years added to other world-class achievements such as inclusion for four consecutive years in the Dow Jones Sustainability Indices (DJSI). Earlier this month, Delta was ranked at the highest A-level of the Climate Performance Leadership Index (CPLI) of the 2014 Carbon Disclosure Project (CDP). It was the only company from the Greater China Region to be so named from nearly 2,000 listed companies. The CDP recognized Delta's long-term efforts implementing its corporate mission through saving energy in its daily operations, reframing climate risks as opportunities, promoting environmental education and further extending its social contributions.

In the 2014 Most Admired Company Survey, CommonWealth Magazine evaluated the reputation of more than 2,000 enterprises and only six of them have been capable of maintaining a leadership position that lasts a decade or longer. CommonWealth Magazine summarized the key factors to explain such success as: holding a corporate vision that is ahead of a dynamic industry evolution, a flexible decision-making business model that inspires leadership, the courage to establish ambitious goals that truly motivate corporate teams, and fast response and ability to adapt to change. The magazine believes that all business leaders can apply these success factors to their own enterprises.
