Delta Wins Three at the 2013 Taiwan Corporate Sustainability Awards

Delta Electronics was honored in three major new categories at the "2013 Taiwan Corporate Sustainability Awards," winning the awards for "Sustainable Innovation"— No.1 in the manufacturing industry, "Climate Leadership" and the "Taiwan Top 50 CSR Award". Delta's vice president Mr. R.T. Tsai accepted the award from Taiwan's Vice President Mr. Deng-Yi Wu, and shared Delta's experience in promoting CSR.

Delta's Chairman Mr. Yancey Hai commented, "Delta continues to implement our company's mission 'To provide innovative, clean and energy-efficient solutions for a better tomorrow' with our business development. With annual investment of 5% to 6% of our group's annual sales revenues in R&D, Delta is dedicated to linking our mission with our products, continuing brand development, and expanding our solutions for system integration and energy-saving. From 2010 to 2012, we assisted our clients in saving a total of roughly 9.3 Billion kWh and reducing carbon emissions by around 5 million tons. Our four certified green buildings/factories saved almost 8 Million kWh in 2012. Recently Delta's Shanghai R&D Center and Tainan Plant Phase II have been certificated with LEED and EEWH respectively. This shows our commitment to promoting Green Buildings."

The "2013 Taiwan Corporate Sustainability Awards" was held by the Taiwan Institute of Sustainable Energy (TAISE). In addition to the basic criteria of its "Taiwan CSR Awards" of 2008 to 2012, TAISE has further extended the scoring scope and divided the awards into 5 groups: "Sustainable Innovation", "Climate Leadership", "Integrity", "Creativity in Communications" and "Social Inclusion". TAISE evaluated 58 of Taiwan's top enterprises for the awards.
