Delta Receives Excellence in Corporate Social Responsibility Award

Delta received the Excellence in Corporate Social Responsibility award at the CommonWealth Corporate Citizenship Awards ceremony held on March 16. Diana Yin, chairman of CommonWealth Magazine, spoke on how the purpose of this award is to encourage corporations to take on responsibility for bringing about a better society.

Bruce accepted the award for Excellence in Corporate Social Responsibility from Mrs. Frances Hesselbein, Chairman of the Peter F. Drucker Foundation. As he received the award, Bruce paid tribute to Mr. Y. S. Sun and Mr. K. T. Li for establishing the foundation of Taiwan's economy. He also thanked CommonWealth Magazine for introducing the book "Natural Capitalism" by Dr. Amory Lovins and he encouraged everyone to read it. Bruce concluded his remarks by thanking the judges for recognizing Delta's efforts and he encouraged corporations of all kinds to work towards a greener earth.
