New HQ will be LEED Platinum certified and a Net Zero Green Building

Fremont, California, U.S., September 5th, 2012 — Delta Products Corporation held the groundbreaking ceremony today for its new Americas headquarters. The buildings on the Delta campus are designed to meet LEED platinum certification and have the goal to become net zero energy buildings, a first for the city of Fremont. Delta, a leading provider of energy efficient and renewable energy solutions and products will use its own solar panels, inverters, wind turbines, LED lighting, electric vehicle chargers, displays, motor drives and other products in the construction of the buildings. Other notable green features include: a water retention pond, native low water consumption plants, a ground source heat pump and a three story atrium light well providing additional natural light to the interior of the space and acting as a thermal stack ventilation tower. Attending the groundbreaking were notable city and state dignitaries, Delta's Founder and Honorary Chairman Bruce Cheng, and Delta Americas President M.S. Huang.

Delta's Founder and Honorary Chairman Bruce Cheng said: "Buildings are responsible for between 1/4 to 1/3 of the world's total energy usage, as well as a large proportion of greenhouse gas emissions. The construction of green buildings is a big step in saving our valuable energy resources and reducing emissions. Delta makes every effort to save energy and help protect the environment through the use of green buildings. We have green factories, offices, and R&D centers throughout the world. The Delta Foundation has sponsored several green schools and university buildings as well. In 2011 Delta's high efficiency energy saving products and services reduced a total of 3,300 million KWH in electricity consumption for its customers, and an estimated 2.02 million tons in carbon emissions. This is equivalent to saving the carbon footprint of a small country for one year. Delta's brand spirit is: "Smarter. Greener. Together." We promise to develop products and solutions that inspire people to change their lifestyles in a cooperative effort to protect our environment."

Delta Products Corporation's President M.S. Huang said: "At Delta we are always defining new ways to improve the energy efficiency of our products through advanced research and product development. Our employees embrace our founder Bruce Cheng's vision and company mission statement, "To provide innovative, clean and energy-efficient solutions for a better tomorrow". Our new Americas headquarters is an example of our commitment to our mission statement, to the community we work in, and to the legacy we leave for future generations. The Americas headquarters will be Delta's 14th green building worldwide. We take great pride in our company's growth, our Americas team, and our innovative energy efficient products." Delta realized many benefits after building its first green building in Taiwan's Tainan Science Park in 2006. To date Delta has constructed 13 green buildings around the world. The company offers energy solutions to the challenges of global climate change.
