English Version of Delta@@s 2007 CSR Report is now available online

Following the release of the Chinese version of Delta's 2007 CSR Report in September, the English version is now available online. For this report, data was collected from the departments of Human Resources, Corporate Communications, Investor Relations, business divisions, as well as major manufacturing sites in Taiwan, Mainland China, Thailand, India and Germany. Compared with our previous version, this edition offers greater scope and depth of content. Apart from illustrating Delta's interactions with our stakeholders, the report provides a preliminary assessment of our consumption of energy resources, greenhouse gas emissions, and waste generation for 2006. By introducing indicators such as the intensity of electricity consumption, water consumption and greenhouse gas emissions, we were able to present an objective overview of Delta's environmental performance over the past three years and provide a basis for future improvements. In addition, the report also includes Delta's plans and prospects for the future. We look forward to becoming an even better corporate citizen in a more effective manner.

We are currently reorganizing Delta's CSR organization so that we can systematically integrate CSR into daily practices. We encourage all the colleagues to read the Report or surf the CSR website to learn more about our achievement in the past and vision for the future. Also, we hope those colleagues who were inquired about CSR issues by external stakeholders to proactively respond with the message of the release of Delta's 2007 CSR Report. The Chinese and English versions of the report can be available at http://www.delta.com.tw/ch/csr/csr_main.asp and http://www.delta.com.tw/csr/csr_main.asp respectively.
