The installation at TAIPEI 101 includes one Delta 50kW DC Quick EV Charger and five Delta AC EVSE units. The former, capable of charging 80% of a BMW i3 EV with 33kWh battery in less than 40 minutes, boasts leading energy conversion of up to 94%, user-friendly qualities such as RFID card reader for user authentication and a 12’’ TFT-LCD panel, network connectivity (OCPP or proprietary protocol), as well as a durable IP55 / IK10-rated (vandal-proof) casing. The compact AC EVSE units offer an ergonomic design, up to 7kW power output, RFID card reader, IP55 / IK08 ingress vandal-proof protection standards and the same network connectivity. Drivers of all SAE DC (CCS1 Combo) and SAE J1772 AC (Type 1) compliant EVs will be able to access this new charging site at TAIPEI 101 and the other 40 AC chargers donated to the Taipei City Government by BMW Importer Taiwan Pan German Motors Ltd.
