Delta's Electric Vehicle (EV) Charging Solutions Selected by BMW Taiwan / Pan German Motors for Donated EV Charging Infrastructure to Taipei City

Taipei, Taiwan, January 10, 2017 – Delta, a global leader in power and thermal management solutions, announced today its EV Charging Solutions have been selected by BMW Taiwan / Pan German Motors Ltd. for its donated EV charging infrastructure to the Taipei City Government. A total of 40 units of Delta's smart AC wall-box EV Charger, featuring network communication capabilities, IP55-rated protection enclosure and a stylish ergonomic design, are to be installed in 20 public parking lots across Taipei City. This donated installation, part of BMW Taiwan's efforts to support the growing population of BMW i-series EV drivers and all SAE J1772 Type 1-compliant EVs in the country, will complement Delta's existing EV charging sites for residential and commercial applications, currently enabling convenient charging services in Taiwan.

Delta's AC wall-box EV Chargers are ideal for intelligent green cities as they maximize convenience for system operators and EV drivers through their smart network communication capabilities for easy back-office integration, RFID card reader for user identification and 7kW power output. Also, these Taiwan CNS-compliant AC chargers feature robust IP55 ingress protection, IK08 vandal-proof casing and a space-saving stylish design. Moreover, Delta's Site Management System (SMS) enables high operating efficiency to site operators through comprehensive real-time support and energy management functions.

The 40 EV wall-mount AC chargers, donated by BMW Taiwan / Pan German Motors Ltd. to the Taipei City Government, will be installed in 20 public parking lots located in Taipei City and shall be available for all SAE J1772 Type 1-compliant EVs by March 2017.
