Delta Showcases Green Solutions for Smart Cities

Shanghai, Nov 4 , 2013 – Delta Group, a leader in global power management and thermal management solutions, will present power supply, energy monitoring and management, and green energy solutions at the 2013 China International Industry Fair (CIIF) held from November 5th to 9th in Shanghai. Applied to smart city concepts, Delta's solutions provide creative and energy-saving services in the field of urban security, traffic management, telecommunication services, data centers, and energy management. Delta's green energy solutions in China generate an annual 62 million kWh of clean power, and have spurred efforts to establish smart cities.

Mr. Donald Yu, General Manager of Delta Greentech, points out that "Smart cities use resources more efficiently, enhance the quality of urban life, and reduce energy consumption through information and telecommunication technologies. Delta embraces a business philosophy which is characterized by "Care for the Environment, Energy-saving, and Our Green Earth". We employ our core capabilities in the field of power and electronics to provide comprehensive key technologies for the establishment of modern smart cities. Notable examples of Delta's strategic products are the InfraSuite datacenter infrastructure solution which enables 25% saving of datacenter energy consumption. The iPEMS core control system, an energy monitoring and management system allows optimized energy use, which received an award at the 2012 CIIF. In the past year, Delta has designed and installed a large number of solutions all over the country including: uninterruptible power supply systems, all the venues of the 12th National Sports Meet, and the InfraSuite datacenter solution employed by ShanXi Broadcasting Station and the State Intellectual Property Office. Leading monitoring technologies such as Delta's Distributive Vision Control Systems (DVCS) and Large Screen Display Systems have been employed for urban security and emergency command systems in Shandong, Shanxi, Xinjiang, Heilongjiang, and Liaoning and traffic control centers in Changchun and Qingdao."

Delta is fully committed to enhancing the energy conversion efficiency of green energy products and providing all-in-one solar energy PV system services and applications. Notable examples are the participation in the Datang power projects in the Shanghai Waigaoqiao Free Trade Zone, and the "Golden Sun" pilot project in Jinshan and Qingpu. Capacity assessments of PV projects that Delta participated in from the second half of last year until today indicate that a total of around 62 million kWh of clean electricity will be generated annually.

Delta will showcase innovative power supply and distribution solutions, key applications for the industry, and data centers at CIIF. This includes the Ultron DPS series high-power uninterruptible power supply systems with excellent performance characteristics, the new-generation Ultron HPH series medium-power uninterruptible power supply systems, which have the best loading capacity and efficiency among similar products on the market, as well as Delta power quality management products with accurate wave-filtering technologies and comprehensive compensation schemes.

Delta will also unveil its brand-new energy monitoring and management solutions. It's market leading DVCS, LED Digital Light Processing units, and power supply and distribution products are integrated through iPEMS smart monitoring and management systems to create industrial energy monitoring and management solutions that fulfill data collection, data processing, visualization, and power supply and distribution. These solutions allow real-time monitoring and management of wide-range, large-scale smart facilities and environments. For green energy applications, Delta will present systems and facilities that allow an integrated management of photovoltaic and lithium batteries, power grids, and local and remote loads such as an all-in-one wall-mounted power conditioning system with optical storage capacity, as well as a small-scale wind turbine converter, and a solar PV inverter with a conversion efficiency of 96% and 98.3%, respectively.

The 2013 China International Industry Fair, the largest industry fair in Asia, will be held from Nov 5 to 9 in the Shanghai New International Expo Center. The Delta booth is located in Hall W1, booth No.C058.
