Delta Group Opens Advanced R&D Centre in Singapore That Will Focus on Sustainable Technologies

Singapore, 4 September 2013 – Delta Electronics, Inc. (TWSE: 2308), the global leader in power and thermal management solutions, today announced the official opening of a Research and Development (R&D) Centre in Singapore. The new centre will focus on sustainable technologies such as energy management, bio-medical, networking and Internet of Things (IOT). Mr. Yeoh Keat Chuan, Managing Director of the Singapore Economic Development Board (EDB), was the Guest-of-Honour and accompanied Delta's Founder and Honorary Chairman, Mr. Bruce Cheng in leading the grand opening of the Centre.

The Singapore R&D Centre is the latest innovative research base in Delta Group. The Centre is located in Science Park II and currently employs highly-skilled staff members, including software, hardware, bio-medical and process engineers. Over 50% of our current professional staff hold master's degrees or doctorates.

In his opening remarks, Mr. Bruce Cheng, Founder and Honorary Chairman of the Delta Group said, "On behalf of the Delta Group, I extend our gratitude to the EDB for their support of our R&D initiatives. We have selected Singapore as the location for our R&D centre given Singapore's focus on sustainability, which complements Delta's mission to provide innovative, clean, and energy-efficient solutions capable of facing the issue of climate change.
