FAQ

STEP 1: Set direction to find Home dog signal.
STEP 2: Reverse direction when hitting the Home dog signal.
STEP 3: Find the Z point signal
Note: When returning to home position, the Home dog signal is ON and the CNC controller only executes STEP 2 & 3.
1.Why did the motor not follow the negative direction set for the zero return position?
This is due to the wrong ON/OFF setting for the Home dog signal, which misleads the CNC controller to believe it has hit the Home dog and continues in the opposite (positive) direction to find the Z point signal.
2.Why does the motor appear to not move in the opposite (positive) direction of finding its Z point signal?
This is also due to the wrong ON/OFF setting for the Home dog signal. Since the ON/OFF setting for Home dog is wrong, this misleads users into believing the CNC controllers only execute STEP 1 & 2 for zero return position and missed STEP 3. However, the Home dog signal was already switched ON, which in turn allows the CNC controller to execute only STEP 2 & 3 for the motor to complete the zero return position.
To solve the problems mentioned above, please modify the ON/OFF setting for the Home dog point signal via ‘Machine Parameter- Zero Point’
Check X origin signal M2146, Y origin signal M2150, Z origin signal M2154 to make sure the Home dog point signal is programmed in the CNC controller.
