Bruce C.H. ChengFounder and Honorary Chairman
Chairman, Delta Electronics Foundation
Mr. Bruce C.H. Cheng founded Delta Electronics in 1971 and served as its Chairman until 2012. He defined the company’s corporate mission, “To provide innovative, clean, and energy-efficient solutions for a better tomorrow,” fostering Delta’s development to become a global leader in power and thermal management solutions. Since 2012, Mr. Cheng has served as Delta’s Honorary Chairman.
In 1990, Mr. Cheng established the Delta Electronics Foundation to contribute back to society by carrying out and sponsoring activities related to Energy and Climate, Green Building and Transport, Biodiversity, and Green-collar Talent Cultivation.
Mr. Cheng has been praised as Taiwan’s first “CEO, Chief Environmental Officer” and “Taiwan’s Pioneer in Environmental Sustainability” by media for his commitment to preserving the environment through the development of innovative energy-saving technologies over decades, as well as for nurturing Delta’s unique ESG-embedded business model.

Mr. Ping Cheng has served as Delta’s Chairman since 2024, responsible for its strategic development and strengthening corporate governance. He has also served as Chief Executive Officer since 2012, leading Delta’s transformation from a component manufacturer into a solutions provider by guiding its M&A endeavors, new business development, global expansion, smart manufacturing implementation, and innovation-driven R&D. In 2017, Mr. Cheng spearheaded an organizational restructuring to realign business groups with key markets, fostering greater cross-unit and cross-regional collaboration.
Mr. Cheng joined Delta Electronics in 1988 and has held numerous senior leadership roles across the company's global operations. From 1996 to 2008, he played a pivotal role in expanding manufacturing operations across China and Thailand. He was appointed Senior Vice President & General Manager of the Power Supply Business Group in 2008, and in 2010, became Delta’s first Chief Brand Officer while also serving as President of the China Region. Mr. Cheng holds a Bachelor of Business Administration from California State University, East Bay.
