Please set two parameters. (The settings are effective only after restarting the controller.)
1. Set parameter No. 306 (Unit type) = 1 (see Figure 1)
2. Set parameter No. 10008 (System length type) =1 (see Figure 2)
Descriptions:
1. Parameter No. 306 Unit type
Settings: 0 = mm / 1 = inch
Enter “0” or “1” to move the coordinates of the machining movement by 1 mm or 1 inch.
2. Parameter No. 10008 System length type
Setting: 0 = mm / 1 = inch
Enter “0” or “1”, when the machine moves 25.400 mm, the screen will display the coordinate movement as 25.400 (mm) or 1.0000 (inch). The numbers after the decimal point for inches are displayed to four digits.
3. The default unit type and system length type are set to “0” (metric system). It is highly recommended that you set the two parameters to be consistent to avoid confusion.
