Through a communication network, you can use Delta’s power meter to measure energy consumption in real time and transmit the collected data to a control center. This allows you to provide accurate information for controlling electricity consumption, reducing electricity costs and preventing significant losses caused by shutdown problems.
1. All the electricity and energy usage information can be transmitted to a control center in real time through a communication network. Delta’s power meter connects to Delta’s network type slim PLC DVP-12SE Series, which has a built-in Ethernet card for high speed processing. The Ethernet/IP communication protocol lets you easily apply the power meter to complex system applications in industrial environments.

2. Description of Wiring: Twisted pair cables must be used in cabling for RS-485 communication. Maximum distance for communication is 1200m and up to 32 power meter units can be connected. When connecting multiple devices in series, the wiring method is displayed in the diagram below. The D+ communication terminal for all devices should be connected to the same twisted pair cable. The D- terminals should be connected to the other twisted pair cable. The insulation net is grounded. The device on the end terminal must have a terminal resistor installed and use 14~28 AWG for the wired terminals.
