Delta’s smart green solutions received high praise at the Taipei International Industrial Automation Exhibition 2024, which ended on August 24th. With the theme of “Charting the Path to Smart Green Manufacturing,” Delta introduced various integrated solutions, software and hardware products for production line upgrades, industrial applications, and FMCS (Facility Monitoring & Control System). Highlights included the Virtual Machine Development Platform DIATwin, which was powered by AI algorithms and digital twin technology to lower costs and enhance automatic equipment development. The solution accelerates time-to-market and saves development time by about 20%. The efficient synchronization of physical and virtual machines won the attention of visitors from various industries.
During the media gathering on August 21st, Joe Wu, the deputy head of Delta’s Industrial Automation Business Group (IABG), remarked that as the demand for AI becomes more prevalent, Delta continues to leverage software R&D resources to help production lines upgrade from automation to smart manufacturing. In the seminar co-hosted with NVIDIA on August 22nd, Delta introduced how digital twin applications enable managers to simulate, evaluate, and predict operations from equipment to the whole factory through high-fidelity virtual images combined with generative AI. The solution can ultimately establish a self-training, self-optimizing, and self-troubleshooting smart factory. The cutting-edge topics presented by the speakers attracted a large attentive crowd.
With nearly 30 years of extensive experience in industrial automation, Delta has launched smart industrial solutions with combinations of various new energy-saving high-performance products and AI-enhanced data analytics to lay the foundation for low-carbon smart manufacturing. The High-Speed Die Pick-and-Place Solution for semiconductor manufacturing integrates linear motors, optical linear encoders, and the Linear Pocket Actuator LPL Series to ensure high-speed, high-precision die pick-and-place that enhances efficiency and product yield. Delta's demonstrations of various micro-level motion control and sensor technologies attracted many visitors and sparked enthusiastic conversations. Designed for high-precision assembly, the Micro-Torque Smart Screwdriving System encompasses servo motors, torque sensors and software control and features torque, angle, and seating point control to solve common problems, such as missing and wrong screws. Visitors experienced the robust functionalities of the smart screw-driving system by following staff directions on-site, which garnered praise.
The Smart Warehouse and Logistics Solutions consist of a full range of integrated solutions for various warehouse and logistics equipment for the rapidly expanding e-commerce sector. For key equipment including robotic arms and Automated Guided Vehicles (AGVs), Delta introduced the 3D ToF Smart Camera DMV-T and 3D ToF Mini Camera DMV-TM to acquire depth data and ensure efficiency and safety. During the exhibition, streams of visitors came to see the palletizing demonstration which combined machine vision and modular robots.
Following the theme of low-carbon smart manufacturing, Delta’s SCADA System VTScada leverages a single visualization platform to analyze a large amount of energy consumption data for facilities. VTScada provides optimized operation parameters and implements large-scale carbon emission monitoring applications to help the industry to grasp key data in carbon pricing trends and take the lead in green manufacturing. The solution attracted numerous inquiries from the visitors. The Direct Drive Motor Cooling Tower System Solution, in-line with the trend of carbon reduction, features IE5-class high-efficiency motors to bring significant energy-saving results for buildings as well as the chemicals, automobiles, and steel industries.
In addition, the seminars and booth tours featured cyber-physical integration, smart factory and warehouse solutions, green FMCS, and the smart injection molding machine solution. Audience members engaged in productive interactions with Delta presenters. The number of visitors during the four-day exhibition well surpassed those of previous years. Delta is dedicated to developing new smart industrial solutions and aims to facilitate low-carbon smart manufacturing and sustainability with industrial partners in the era of Industry 4.0.
