Delta Honored with 4 Major Awards at the
2017 Taiwan Corporate Sustainability Awards

Delta Electronics, Inc., a global leader in power and thermal management solutions, announced it has been honored with "The Most Prestigious Sustainability Award-Top Ten Domestic Corporate Award", "The Climate Leadership Award", "The Supply Chain Management Award" and the "Corporate Sustainability Report Award" at the 2017 Taiwan Corporate Sustainability Awards, organized by the Taiwan Academy of Corporate Sustainability (TACS) on November 23th.

Carrying out its corporate mission, ‘To provide innovative, clean and energy-efficient solutions for a better tomorrow,' Delta has developed innovative energy-efficient products, created a sustainable supply chain with suppliers, proactively promoted green buildings, participated in the side events of the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change and shared its energy-efficient building results in line with UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). The awards ceremony was attended by Delta's spokesperson Jesse Chou.

To fulfill its chosen SDGs, Delta is focusing on six targets including climate action, industry, innovation and infrastructure, and global partners as the path toward sustainable development. Integrating business development and CSR strategies with power electronics as its core technology, Delta has achieved over 90% efficiency for all of its power supply products. Over the past seven years, Delta's high-efficiency products and solutions have helped clients save a cumulative 20.8 billion kWh of power, and in 2016 Delta's certified green buildings saved 15.2 million kWh of power. In addition, Delta has shared its experience in energy conservation and carbon reduction with its supply chain partners, and incorporated green solutions into its supply chain management mechanism, helping Delta and its suppliers promote sustainable development together through a green supply chain.

Delta has continuously focused on climate change, and has participated in the UN's COP convention for 11 consecutive years since 2007 through the Delta Foundation. During the COP23 climate convention held in Bonn, Germany, Delta accepted an invitation from Local Governments for Sustainability (ICLEI) to speak at its side event. As the only corporate representative during the meeting, Delta shared its experience on how businesses can help cities to promote sustainable development to a dozen opinion leaders and decision-makers. At exhibitions during UN convention side events, Delta demonstrated the performance and results of its certified energy-efficient green buildings, low-carbon transportation, and environmental education development, as it passed on to the world the experience of a Taiwanese enterprise in carbon reduction. Starting with reducing its own carbon emissions, Delta has built 25 green buildings around the world, from factory buildings to donated campus buildings. In addition, Delta is providing solutions for building low-carbon cities worldwide including low-carbon buildings, electric vehicle charging, and smart street lighting.

Besides the 2017 Taiwan Corporate Sustainability Awards, Delta has been selected as a member of Dow Jones Sustainability™ World Index for seven consecutive years since 2011. In 2016 and 2017, Delta was ranked by the CDP (Carbon Disclosure Project) at the Climate Change Leadership Level.
