Please explain how I would set the S-curve accel / decel Pr. for the C2000 Vector Control VFD.
You would set the S-curve accel / decel Pr. to help the motor make a gradual soft start as the VFD activates directly. The Pr. value is adjustable for different levels. Please note that when the time setting is 0 seconds, the S-curve function is considered as null. If an over-current occurs to the VFD, it is likely to increase the accel / decal time setting to resolve. As the S-curve is applied, the accel / decel curves appear in the VFD at different velocities as compared with the original accel / decel curve time settings.
The formula, default, settings and diagram of the S-curve are as below:

‧ C2000 S-curve accel / decel Pr. formula
A .Accel: As the time setting of Pr.01-12, 01-14, 01-16, 01-18 ≧ Pr.01-24 and 01-25, the real accel. time = Pr.01-12, 01-14, 01-16, 01-18 +(Pr.01-24 + Pr.01-25)/ 2
B. Decel: As the time setting of Pr.01-13, 01-15, 01-17, 01-19 ≧ Pr.01-26 and 01-27, the real decel. time = Pr.01-13, 01-15, 01-17, 01-19 +(Pr.01-26 + Pr. 01-27)/ 2
