Melbourne Airport Chose Delta UPS for its Mission Critical Operations

Vertical: Transportation

As part of the Melbourne Airport's Terminal 4 upgrade, Delta's UPS solutions have been consigned through Chase Power to protect the critical operations infrastructure of its new PLC control room in the newly built Tri-generation power plant right next to the Terminal 4.
The solution adopted two 10kVA RT models in parallel redundancy configuration, each with a Delta external battery bank.

The Tri-generation power plant is a megawatt class power station, built to feed power to the entire new development, including the new terminal 4 and transport hub, as well as protect the precinct's essential supply from power outages.

With a high input power factor (pf > 0.99), low harmonic distortion (iTHD < 5%), and high eco-mode efficiency of 96%, the RT Series will make a significant contribution to the airport's estimated 30% reduction of carbon emissions.
