Delta Smart Manufacturing Webinars: Building a Successful Smart Factory

Explore Smart Manufacturing with Delta every afternoon from 15 July to 12 August on the YouTube Channel of Delta Industrial Automation

As smart manufacturing becomes a major industrial trend, many manufacturers are starting the digital transformation process. They are adopting automation, digitization, and intelligence for equipment, production lines, and factory upgrades to plan comprehensive smart factories. Walking through the smart transformation process, Delta understands the difficulties and challenges during the exploration stage and it has summarized its experience and developed smart products and solutions for different application scenarios. To share its knowledge with manufacturers on the way, Delta is starting a new webinar series in July and August. The topics will cover the key factors for building a successful smart factory, including manufacturing execution, statistical process control, equipment management, logistics integration, and communication integration for the semiconductor and PCB industries. The seminars will offer manufacturers a shortcut straight to the smart manufacturing future and help them avoid much trial and error.

From 17 July to 12 August, Delta is hosting the webinar series “Building a Successful Smart Factory” on its YouTube Channel Delta Industrial Automation at 14:00 every Friday. Webinar topics will include:

  • 15 July: Cloud-edge convergence to help machine makers achieve smart upgrades
The machine-making industry features high customization, engineer-to-order (ETO), fixed-position assembly, and lean organization. It is critical for manufacturers to keep progress and delivery schedules, manual dispatch, production information, and product quality on track. Seeing the pain points, Delta is sharing the Manufacturing Execution System for Machine Makers edgeMES on 15 July and helping manufacturers overcome the challenges with resource integration and digitalized production for agile and lean management.

  • 22 July: Production monitoring and control to stabilize product quality
Product quality cannot be compromised in manufacturing. With real-time monitoring and detection during the whole process, manufacturers can find and respond to anomalies in time for quality maintenance. On 22 July, Delta will focus on quality management and elaborate on how manufacturers utilize the Statistical Process Control DIASPC to collect data and help users control and analyze via various charts and reports.

  • 29 July: Equipment management to build smart production lines
Automation equipment is the foundation of smart production lines and factories. On 29 July, Delta will introduce the Equipment Management System DIAEMS and how it helps manufacturers overcome challenges during equipment transformation, such as data collection, work optimization, intuition and visualization, parameter control, predictive sensing, and IT/OT convergence. Manufacturers can optimize the critical indexes to increase efficiency and resource utilization and reduce inventory costs and production losses.

  • 5 August: Logistics integration to achieve smart transformation
On 5 August, Delta will discuss the integration of material control system and AVGs, and the solutions that will quickly connect different procedures and enhance operation productivity.

  • 12 August: Communication integration to accelerate data transmissions
With smart manufacturing trends, manufacturers are familiar with the equipment, information, and system integration. They can compete faster using standardized communications, data encryption, transmission, and application processes. For the semiconductor and PCB industries, SECS/GEM is the mainstream communication connecting machines and the manufacturing execution system and equipment IoT platform. On 12 August, Delta will present the product family of the Semiconductor Equipment Communication and Control Software DIASECS based on SECS/GEM for diverse scenarios and depth. The DIASECS complies with the SEMI standard and can assist users with design, development, and testing to achieve the goals of multi-host information collection.
